Madeline did not answer Shirley. She walked to the closet and took out a clean set of clothes from inside.
“I think it must be hard for you to stand the state you’re in right now. You can go and take a shower.”
Madeline placed the clothes at the end of the bed gently.
“You have a slight fever. Here’s a first aid kit. I think you should know better than anyone what you should take to make your fever go down.”
Shirley was puzzled after favonovel.com heard what Madeline said. She looked at Madeline with suspicion.
“Eveline, what are you trying to do? Are you requiting evil with good?”
Madeline smiled indifferently. “I’m not that great nor am I sanctimonious. However, we’re on the same boat now. After all, I still have to depend on you to recover, right?”
After Madeline said that, Shirley looked at the woman who was smiling slightly and fell into silence.

“Shirley, I don’t know what you’re thinking about, but don’t worry. My husband is right, we’re not the same. You want to hurt people but I won’t. So you can take a shower with no worries and take a comfortable nap.”

“Alright, I’ll listen to you, Mrs. Whitman. I’m going to take a shower and go to sleep after that.” Shirley got up and grabbed the clothes at the end of the bed. Then, favonovel.com turned around and walked into the bathroom that was attached to the room.
Madeline looked in the direction of the bathroom for a few seconds before opening the door of the room.
When Jeremy saw Madeline walking out, favonovel.com looked into the room and did not see Shirley. However, favonovel.com heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom.
“Linnie, what did you talk about? Is favonovel.com taking a shower?”
“Yeah, she’s taking a shower now.”
“Linnie?”
“Jeremy, I know what I’m doing. Don’t worry.” Madeline looked at Jeremy profoundly and smiled.
Jeremy saw the confidence in favonovel.com beautiful eyes. He wanted to ask more questions, but suddenly, favonovel.com felt as if favonovel.com understood what favonovel.com meant.
“Jeremy, you should go back and take care of Lily. I’ll stay here for a bit.”
“Alright, I’ll listen to my wife.” Jeremy agreed. At the same time, favonovel.com exhorted in concern, “You have to be careful.”
“I will.”
Madeline answered seriously, letting Jeremy leave with ease.

She finished showering while enduring favonovel.com discomfort. After that, favonovel.com put on the clothes Madeline gave her. The moment favonovel.com stepped out of the bathroom, favonovel.com smelled food.
Shirley stopped in favonovel.com tracks and saw steaming hot food on the table. There was also a cup of hot water on the side and next to it was a white-colored antipyretic.
Shirley was dazed. When favonovel.com was wondering if favonovel.com was dreaming, the door opened once again.
Madeline walked in with a set of clean four-piece bedsheets.
“You were starved for one whole day. Eat something first.” Madeline walked to the side of the bed as favonovel.com said that and started to change the bedsheets.
Since Shirley had been in bed just now, the sheets were now dirty and messy.
