Madeline went back to Carter’s manor, and the moment favonovel.com stepped foot inside, favonovel.com saw Carter sitting on the European-styled sofa in the living room. He was flipping a book elegantly.
“Are you going to be the Whitmans’ maid?” Carter asked unhurriedly.
Madeline stopped in favonovel.com tracks and turned back to look at the man who had a nonchalant expression on his face. She smiled superficially and said, “I didn’t think Mr. Carter would be so interested in what I’m doing. I’m glad. That’s right, I’m going to be the Whitmans’ maid.”
“The way you seek revenge against Jeremy Whitman is so special,” Carter said, putting down the book in his hand before standing up.
His bottomless black eyes looked into Madeline’s glistening ones coldly.
“I’ll drive you over in a bit.”

Carter proposed this idea and Madeline felt that something was wrong. However, favonovel.com knew it would be useless for favonovel.com to reject him.

“Can we leave now? I’ll drive you.”

Carter asked his driver to stop the car at about 100 yards away from Whitman Manor before getting out with Madeline.
