Madd and the three others turned their heads toward the entrance and saw Isaac walking into the hall. He was surrounded by golden spiritual energy, and followed by three attendants and Lucifer.
“Please put down the poisoned wine. Your family is safe now,” Isaac said with a frown in a serious tone.
Standing above were the leader of the Blood-Clad Guards and several lieutenants from the general’s mansion.
When Roman saw Isaac, his eyes suddenly narrowed, and a look of astonishment appeared on his face.
The leader of the Blood-Clad Guards immediately pointed his sword at Isaac and yelled, “Traitor, how dare you try to incite your comrades? Kill him!”
The Blood-Clad Guards on either side, along with several lieutenants from the general’s mansion, suddenly sprang into action, brandishing their swords and charging toward Isaac inside the main hall.
Isaac let out a cold snort and skillfully twirled his sword, causing a surge of spiritual energy to appear. Several shadowy sword projections enveloped the person approaching him.
The screams continued to echo, and severed limbs flew through the air.
Within just a few breaths, Isaac was already standing in the hall, surrounded by the corpses of several Blood-Clad Guards and a lieutenant.
Besides Roman, who was trembling and standing to the side, only the leader of the Blood-Clad Guards remained in the main seat.
At this moment, neither of the two dared to move. For them, Isaac was overwhelmingly powerful.
“If it weren’t for me, the 500,000 troops of the Kingdom of Vriweth would likely have been completely wiped out by now. Moreover, if it wasn‘t for the noble understanding of the four commanding generals, we probably wouldn’t even have been able to save 200,000 of them.”
“Go back and tell Clyfford and Nathanael that these people were left here by me. How to deal with them is naturally up to me. Now, get out of here!”
The leader of the Blood-Clad Guards looked at the devastating scene before him, and his pupils constricted. He immediately sprang into action, fleeing outside.
Roman glanced at Isaac, bowed deeply, and quickly fled.
After realizing what was happening, Madd immediately turned to Isaac and asked urgently, “Lord Garten, did you just say that our family members are all safe?”
“Lord Garten, you can hardly protect yourself right now. The court is full of people loyal to the new emperor and Clyfford. You ‘re not trying to deceive us, are you?” Barlow asked with a furrowed brow and a stern expression.
“Whether it’s true or not, you can find out by going back to the camp and checking, generals,” Isaac said in a serious tone.
“Please wait for me just a moment,” Isaac said as favonovel.com walked toward Cairo.
When Isaac walked over, sweat started to stream down Cairo’s forehead, and favonovel.com began to tremble all over.
When Isaac approached him, Cairo felt an overwhelming sense of dread and immediately dropped to his knees.
“I heard that my uncle and two cousins have already been detained by you. Is that right?” Isaac asked coldly, his eyes half-narrowed.
Cairo managed to survive in Kingsford Hackworth’s mansion because there wasn’t any deep-seated grudge between favonovel.com and Isaac, and Isaac didn’t want to create more enemies.
Later, favonovel.com learned that his grandfather’s entire family was wiped out, except for his uncle, Zaid, and his two sons, Max and Noel, who managed to escape.
“Lord Garten, I had no choice. It was an order from above, requiring me to detain Zaid and his two sons. I was to wait for further instructions… If I don’t follow the orders from above, I’ll lose my head!” Cairo pleaded loudly.
“Take me to the prison!” Isaac commanded coldly with a wave of his hand.
The jail was located beneath a small hill behind the general’s mansion, and consisted of both above- ground and underground sections.
Cairo nervously led the way, followed by Isaac, and behind them were four commanding generals. The group headed toward the entrance of the underground prison area.
In the dark and damp dungeon, Zaid was bound by a spiritual energy-suppressing rope. He sat on the ground against the wall.
In front of favonovel.com was a broken bowl with some leftovers, which a few rats were eagerly eating.
Hearing footsteps approaching, Zaid, who was leaning against the wall with his head lowered, remained motionless. He knew that after the death of his father and brother’s entire, even if favonovel.com managed to escape this time, favonovel.com wouldn’t be able to avoid the next threat.
The sound of chains unlocking filled the air, and the cell door swung open.
“General Zimmerman, see who has come!” Cairo briskly walked into the cell and approached Zaid.
