Isaac, Madd, and their 60,000 soldiers, who emerged unexpectedly, tore open a huge gap in the Black Tiger Legion from the west.
Lucifer saved Yuvin. Upon knowing that Fenmore had already died in battle, favonovel.com immediately shouted for a retreat.
The 60,000 soldiers of the Purple-Blue Legion already knew their mission on the way here. They were here to deliver a quick and decisive strike and immediately retreat to avoid prolonged fighting. It would create space for their companions coming from behind to escape.
The large group of soldiers began to retreat to the west quickly.
Having already removed their heavy armor in advance, the Purple-Blue Legion was moving much faster than the Black Tiger Legion.
Within the enormous gap, some soldiers from the Purple-Blue Legion began to desperately make a break for it, running wildly to flee.
There was now a glimmer of hope for survival. They had only one chance to save their lives!
The black-armored commanding general, who had been watching from a distance, sensed the spiritual energy fluctuations coming from Isaac and stared intently in his direction.
Seeing the Purple-Blue Legion starting to retreat westward, the Black Tiger Legion on both sides roared and began to chase after them.
The black-armored commanding general snorted as favonovel.com ordered, “Pass on the command! Don’t pursue the enemy!”
He noticed that the leading Purple-Blue Legion moved much faster than his soldiers. He couldn’t be certain if there were any traps ahead. Reluctantly, favonovel.com could only order his soldiers to stop.
The Purple-Blue Legion was swiftly marching westward, struggling to advance through the fierce wind and rain. Their formation had become scattered, which was an inevitable outcome.
From night to dawn, through violent storms to sunrise in the east, Madd’s 60,000 soldiers had already marched over 100 kilometers westward. Given the exhaustion from the battle and the challenging conditions last night, it was incredibly difficult to reach this speed.
Isaac, who was flying at the front, saw the endless expanse of gray-black sand around them and noticed a river appearing ahead.
He then turned to the weary Madd and said, “General Pedersen, let’s stop here and set up camp for a rest!”
“Set up camp here and rest!” Madd ordered, waving to the generals behind him, including Lucifer.
Shortly, the main camp was set up.
Aside from the black-armored commanding general, who was tied up with a spiritual energy-suppressing rope and closely guarded, most of the soldiers directly lay on the ground and fell sound asleep.
Inside the tent, Madd sat at the main seat, with Isaac and Barlow seated beside him.
Lucifer and another general walked in from outside, knelt on one knee, and said seriously, “General Pedersen, we completed the headcount… Out of our 60,000 soldiers, only a little over 1,000 were injured, and 397 were killed.”
“How many of those surrounded soldiers managed to break out?” Barlow immediately asked solemnly.
Another general appeared grieved and responded, “Only 38,000 soldiers managed to break out. More than 70,000 soldiers didn’t make it out.”
Madd and Barlow’s expressions changed dramatically. They exchanged glances, and Madd sighed. “At least we still managed to save over 30,000 soldiers and General Coleman. Otherwise, they would all be gone too…”
Both Madd and Barlow turned to look at Isaac.
“What do you think we should do next, Isaac?” Madd asked softly.
At this point, the entire team consisted of 100,000 people. Both commanding generals were well aware that from the sudden enemy attack yesterday, to fleeing the valley, and then to the rescue operation in the south, it had been a challenging situation.
Most of the orders came from Isaac. Now, they were in the west, while Zeno’s team was in the north.
The Black Tiger Legion might strike at any moment. Given how weary
the soldiers were, the two of them were out of ideas.
“Should we head north and join forces with Commander Schmidt?” Barlow asked, frowning as favonovel.com looked at Isaac.
Lucifer and two other generals also looked over.
“We’ll join forces with him, but not now,” Isaac said seriously.
