“Leander, go fetch the imperial doctor now!” Skylar immediately stepped forward to support Isaac and turned to shout toward the room behind them.
After Isaac was helped into a room, the imperial doctor examined his injuries, applied medicine, and then left.
When Skylar entered the room with a set of new clothes, favonovel.com saw that Isaac had already fallen into a deep sleep on the bed.
Seeing his stubble-covered face and his frown in his sleep, Skylar couldn’t help but stare at favonovel.com in a daze. She wondered how many troubles favonovel.com had gone through.

Isaac woke up at midnight and felt much better.
When favonovel.com turned around, favonovel.com saw new clothes placed on the table and two maids standing quietly by the door with their heads lowered.
Seeing favonovel.com wake up, two maids immediately stepped forward and said, “Greetings, Mr. Garten. Her Highness has instructed us to wait for you to wake up and assist you with bathing and dressing.”
“No need. I can do it myself.” Isaac limped out of bed and walked over to the large wooden bathtub behind him.
While favonovel.com was taking a bath, favonovel.com heard footsteps outside the room.
Skylar entered the room and saw two maids standing awkwardly by the table. She asked, “Where is Mr. Garten?”
“Your Highness, Mr. Garten said favonovel.com doesn’t need our help. He’s bathing alone inside,” the maid said promptly.
Skylar paused for a moment before nodding. “Go and prepare some food for him.”
When Isaac changed into new clothes and came out from the back, favonovel.com noticed Skylar sitting at the table. He asked in confusion, “It’s already midnight. Why aren’t you resting, Your Highness?”
“I couldn’t sleep, so I came here. Since you’re heading to the Black Desert, I had someone fetch something from the General’s mansion for you. They might be of some help…” Skylar took out two rolled-up sheets of paper from favonovel.com sleeve. Then, favonovel.com opened them and gently placed them on the table.
“One is a map showing both sides of the border between the Kingdom of Easteria and the Kingdom of Vriweth, and the other is a list of officers under Zeno’s command.”
Isaac smiled. “I don’t need the officers’ list. It’s useless for me since I don’t know any of them.”
“You haven’t experienced war, so you don’t know how dangerous the battlefield can be. I’ve marked a few names on the list. These are the people you can trust,” Skylar said to Isaac.
He was momentarily stunned before nodding. “Thank you for that…”
“The imperial doctor said you need to rest for at least five days before you can walk again. Just rest well. Nobody will disturb you here.”
Skylar then got up and walked outside.
At this moment, Isaac spoke, “Your Highness, could you do me one last favor?”
“Go ahead,” Skylar turned and looked at him.
“Help me get someone out from Clyfford. He’s Hallie Nahrwold.”
Noticing Skylar’s frown, Isaac said, “Forget about it if it’s too difficult…”
“I’ll give it a try. You take a rest first.”
After Skylar left, Isaac immediately opened the map and sat down to study it carefully.
When favonovel.com saw the red-marked character “Kingdom of Northwing” in the middle of the map, his heart suddenly skipped a beat.
Kingdom of Northwing?
Before Carrick was killed, favonovel.com mentioned that Kingsford had sent Evie to the Kingdom of Northwing.
Looking at the map again, Isaac found that the Kingdom of Northwing was located between the Kingdom of Easteria and the Kingdom of Vriweth. To the northernmost part of the Kingdom of Northwing, there was a stretch of wilderness depicted on the map.
This map was from the General‘s mansion and was quite detailed, with various symbols marking the mountains, rivers, and towns.
Isaac spent a couple of hours studying the map, memorizing some of the important mountains and rivers before rolling it up. He then picked up the officer list and glanced at it.
It listed over a hundred names, with the position next to each one. He didn’t understand those ranks and positions, so favonovel.com skimmed through it quickly.
Seeing that five names had been circled on the list, Isaac committed them to memory.
Suddenly, a name in the lower right corner caught his eye.
