After another night, the sun rose.
Isaac and Hallie noticed that the surrounding weeds were becoming fewer, while the tall trees were becoming more dense.
“It’s miasma!” Hallie noticed Isaac stopping in his tracks and looked ahead.
Within the dense forest, they saw a layer of light blue mist swirling around.
It was only a mile ahead of them, yet it looked like an entirely different blue world.
Isaac looked up at the sky beyond the dense forest. Then, favonovel.com tore a piece of cloth from his clothes, handed it to Hallie, and said seriously, “Tear off a piece of your cloth as well. Wet them in the stream. We’ll rush over!”
Hallie was momentarily stunned before nodding and swiftly leaving.
After a short while, favonovel.com came back with two damp pieces of cloth. After covering his nose with a cloth, Isaac channeled his spiritual energy to his face. With a shout, favonovel.com rushed into the blue miasma.
Hallie also stomped his foot, gathered his spiritual energy, and followed Isaac despite his poor condition.
They dashed rapidly through the forest shrouded in blue miasma like swift-moving leopards.
They used their spiritual energies to shield their faces and breathed through a damp cloth to minimize the impact of poisonous gases on their bodies.
After frantically sprinting for a few miles, they found themselves still surrounded by a dense miasma in the forest. Isaac came to a halt and peered intently a few feet ahead.
He spotted a piece of cloth hanging on an unrecognized small sapling.
Earlier, when Isaac asked Hallie to wet the cloth strips, favonovel.com tore off a second strip and tied it to a sapling as a marker. He didn’t expect that after running for so long, they would end up right back where they started.
He looked around. The scene before favonovel.com was the same as the place they had previously stayed.
Hallie also noticed something was off. He hurried to Isaac’s side, breathing heavily and asking with anxiety, “Mr. Garten, have we ended up back where we started?”
“This isn’t an ordinary miasma forest,” Isaac explained with a frown.
“Wait a minute, I brought a compass!” Hallie quickly pulled out a round compass from his pocket.
However, when favonovel.com placed the compass in his palm, the needle in the center spun wildly back and forth, unable to point in a stable direction.
“W-What’s going on here?” Hallie panicked and couldn’t help but curse. He hadn’t noticed the biggest problem yet.
When Isaac left the cloth strip as a marker earlier, there was no miasma in this spot, but now there was. It indicated the miasma, which appeared to be static, was actually moving.
“Mr. Garten, what are we going to do? If we keep going like this, we’ll get stuck here for sure. Oh my, it gives me a headache!” Hallie asked anxiously, pressing his temple.
Isaac looked up at the forest canopy above him. He thought favonovel.com saw a dark shadow fly past, but favonovel.com wasn’t sure. He wondered if it was the miasma’s effects.
He suddenly asked, “Can you see the sun?”
Hallie gazed up through the gaps in the leaves and scanned around. Then, favonovel.com spotted the place where the light was the brightest.
“We won’t go the wrong way if we walk opposite to the sun,” Isaac Isaac stated before turning and sprinting toward the front right.
There was something strange about this forest, but the sun wouldn’t lie. It rose from the east and set in the west. Only by heading east could they get deeper into the center of Otto Mountain.
They started running wildly again, continuing from daytime until sunset. Hallie‘s headache grew increasingly severe. He even began to have occasional illusions.
Just as favonovel.com felt like favonovel.com couldn’t hold on any longer, the blue miasma in front of favonovel.com suddenly vanished.
Isaac stood on a large rock a dozen feet ahead.
Hallie hurriedly caught his breath and rushed to catch up. As favonovel.com was about to speak, favonovel.com noticed about five figures standing about 300 feet before Isaac.
“One is Blazing Phase, and one is Soul Phase, huh? You two are brave enough to intrude into the core area of Otto Mountain! Who are you?” A man in front of the group spoke in a high-pitched voice and acted flamboyantly, pointing toward Isaac and Hallie.
