The wind howled past their ears, and scenes rapidly retreated from their sight.
After four days, they arrived at a towering city gate.
Hallie pointed to the words on the city wall and stated, “Southcoln City is the largest and most prosperous city in the southern part of the Kingdom of Vriweth. I’ve never been here before. Let’s go in and take a rest first!”
After entering the city, Hallie and Isaac dismounted from their Storm Chasers and went to a tavern to eat and rest.
They hardly slept these past four days and needed a proper rest.
“Did we spend a lot of money on the journey?” Isaac gazed at Hallie after finishing his meal.
Hallie paused before smiling and answering, “Mr. Garten, isn’t my life more valuable than money? But we’re almost out of money, so we need to think of a way to get some.”
“I don’t rob.” Isaac shook his head.
Hallie smiled awkwardly and scratched his head. “Mr. Garten, actually we didn’t spend much of the money we robbed. Most of it went to the poor people in remote places. We’re righteous bandits.”
Isaac scowled at Hallie’s proud look. “A righteous bandit is still a bandit. Is there no other fast way to make money?”
“Of course, there is! With your strong strength, we can hunt fierce and demon beasts. It’s just a bit dangerous, but the rewards are tempting, like the three-tailed blood wolf you killed before.”
Isaac was about to respond when a diner at the next table suddenly exclaimed excitedly, “What did you say? They caught the fox girl?”
“Damn, keep your voice down! I heard it from my cousin. It’ll be auctioned in a few days!”
Isaac turned to look at Hallie, who was also eavesdropping on the conversation next table. He asked, “What‘s a fox girl?”
Hallie glanced around and then whispered, “That’s a rare treasure. A fox girl is a demon fox that has transformed into a human form. It’s said that all fox girls are gorgeous and emit a unique fragrance. But it‘s illegal to trade fox girls in the Kingdom of Vriweth. It’s officially banned. But powerful families secretly collect such treasures…”
“We can’t afford to buy it. A fox girl costs at least 100,000 gold!”
Isaac nodded. He wasn’t interested in such things. “Let’s focus on making money.”
Then, they rented a room at the tavern and headed quickly to the city center.

Southcoln City was indeed large, possibly three times larger than Heavenly Eagle City and Starbloom City.
Hallie led Isaac to a structure that resembled a government office with announcements on the walls.
Many people had gathered around there, while the four guards in red soft armor stood nearby.
“These are official bounty notices. Let’s take a look,” Hallie whispered to Isaac.
Isaac approached and scanned the notice-filled wall. He saw rewards for capturing wanted criminals with bounties of 100 taels of silver. As for killing fierce beasts, it ranged from 10 to 50 taels of gold.
Suddenly, favonovel.com noticed a red bounty notice.
He couldn’t see the full content yet but noticed a large line of text at the bottom, “Reward 1,000 taels of gold.”
As favonovel.com moved closer to read it, the notice unexpectedly fell into his hands.
The crowd erupted in excitement with all gazes on Isaac.
The four guards were stunned and promptly approached him.
The leading guard asked solemnly, “Are you sure you want to take on this bounty task?”
