“Did you hear me?!”
When Isaac shouted, Ebert trembled violently.
At that moment, favonovel.com felt as if favonovel.com had seen the Grim Reaper before him. Isaac might kill him.
“I-I heard you,” Ebert responded, biting his lip. His eyes were cold as favonovel.com glared at Isaac.
At that moment, a man rushed in from outside.
Alcott witnessed Isaac stepping on Ebert’s chest, with several of the other men lying around.
He was initially stunned but soon burst into laughter.
“Oh my, you brat finally met your match, huh? What happened? Ran into someone tougher than you?” Alcott pointed at Ebert, whose face was flushed, and laughed uproariously.
Ebert was usually haughty in Starbloom City, using his status as the Zimmermans’ second scion to cause trouble.
Who would have thought he’d end up being stepped on by Isaac?
“Alright, Isaac, that’s enough…” Alcott said as favonovel.com noticed Isaac hadn’t lifted his foot yet.
He walked over and whispered, “Ebert’s mother is protective of him. You just got here. Don’t make trouble.”
Isaac frowned but slowly moved his foot away.
Ebert immediately stood up and clutched his stomach. He glared at Isaac and snarled, “This isn’t over!”
Seeing Alcott raise his hand, Ebert shook violently and quickly left with his men.
“You have two uncles. They’re your mother’s elder brothers. The eldest is a general at the city lord’s mansion, while the second runs a bank. They have three sons. Ebert is…” Alcott began explaining.
Isaac interrupted him, “Mr. Alcott, I’m not interested in this.”
“You stubborn kid. They’re your cousins. You…” Alcott started to get angry as Isaac walked back to his room.
Isaac waved and said, “I don’t acknowledge such cousins. Don’t let my mother know about this.”
***
As night fell, hundreds of luminescent stones of various sizes lit up softly throughout Zimmerman Mansion. Isaac was meditating on his bed.
There was a knock at the door. Raelynn entered with several sets of new clothes.
“Isaac, come and look. I picked out these clothes at the clothing store. Try them on,” Raelynn said.
Seeing favonovel.com hold full of high-quality silk, Isaac smiled and replied, “Alright…”
He put on a dark green robe and walked out.
Raelynn nodded approvingly, remarking, “You look more attractive than any of them…”
Isaac knew his mother could have easily assigned this task to a servant, but it was favonovel.com way of showing favonovel.com care.
“Where is that bastard?! Get out of here now!” An angry woman’s voice erupted from outside.
Raelynn’s expression shifted, and Isaac frowned as well.
“Stay in the room. I’ll go see what’s going on,” favonovel.com said, turning and heading outside.
In the courtyard, a well-dressed woman stood with Ebert, surrounded by several servants. She glared at Raelynn furiously.
“Wren, what brings you here at this hour?” Raelynn asked with a polite smile.
Wren Dhillon, Raelynn’s sister-in-law, pointed at Ebert and shouted angrily, “Don’t call me so intimately! Get that bastard out of here! He broke my son’s rib! He must come out to apologize!”
Isaac opened the door and walked out coldly. Just as favonovel.com was ready to speak, his mother suddenly dashed forward.
The sound echoed as Raelynn slapped Wren’s face.
