Seeing two maids standing outside Raelynn‘s room, the young man approached with a smile and stated loudly, “I heard from the gatekeepers that a stranger came in! Is it Aunt Rae’s guest?”
The two maids immediately bowed and responded, “Greetings, Mr. Ebert. W-We’re not sure who the guest is…”
They were Raelynn’s maids and knew the inside story, but they didn’t dare to tell the man in front of them.
“Not sure, huh?”
Ebert, the Zimmermans’ second scion, frowned. Then, favonovel.com laughed and knocked on the door, shouting, “Aunt Rae! Who are you hiding in your room?”
When Raelynn heard the voice outside, favonovel.com scowled slightly. She asked, “Do you need something?”
“Nothing. I heard from the gatekeepers that a stranger entered and even came to the backyard. But outsiders are generally not allowed in. I was curious.”
She was about to say something when Ebert suddenly swung the door open.
He looked at Isaac sitting by the table.
When their gazes met, favonovel.com immediately showed his curiosity.
“Aunt Rae, who is this guy? I’ve never seen favonovel.com before…” Ebert pointed at Isaac.
Raelynn stood up and frowned, seemingly accustomed to his impudence. “This is your cousin, Isaac Garten.”
“Cousin?” Ebert observed Isaac.
As if understanding something, favonovel.com turned to Raelynn in surprise. “Aunt Rae, is this the bastard you had 30 years ago in the lower realm?”
Isaac frowned and was about to speak when Raelynn held favonovel.com back.
“Ebert, if you continue to speak nonsense, I’ll teach you a lesson!” Raelynn glared at Ebert.
He pretended to be frightened, laughed, and turned to leave.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Raelynn explained to Isaac, “He’s my second brother’s son, always spoiled and reckless. Don’t take favonovel.com seriously.”
She then cautioned, “Don’t cause any trouble before your grandfather returns. Uncle Alcott should have told you about the Upper Martial Realm, right?”
He nodded. “I know a bit…”
Raelynn then instructed favonovel.com maid to prepare an empty room next door. The room was small but clean and tidy.
After Isaac entered the room, Alcott didn’t come in again, presumably off to some other amusement. He sat cross-legged on the bed and began to meditate.
After a while, favonovel.com heard the door of the adjacent room open, and the sound of footsteps quickly faded away. His mother had probably left the room.
As Isaac was immersed in meditation, someone suddenly kicked open his room door.
Ebert stood at the door with about five burly men behind him, smirking as favonovel.com pointed at Isaac on the bed. “You bastard! How dare you stay here!”
He yelled angrily as favonovel.com waved, “Get out of here now!”
Isaac stared coldly at Ebert and asked, “Who do you think you are? Is Zimmerman Mansion under your orders?”
“Hmph, you’re only a bastard from the lower realm! How dare you speak to me like that!” Ebert sneered. “If you suck up to me, I might let you stay. Get lost now!”
Isaac glanced at the men behind Ebert, who all wore expressions of disdain and mockery. It seemed they all knew about his lower realm origins.
Isaac got off the bed and walked toward Ebert coldly, saying sternly, “I’m quite stubborn. The more you don’t want me to stay, the more I will.”
