After a long moment, the malevolent aura around Kingsford gradually dissipated. He turned to Carrick and commanded, “Take some men and search for Isaac. Once you find him, bring favonovel.com to the Zimmermans. I’ll kill favonovel.com after the wedding.”
Carrick nodded, then looked up and asked cautiously, “Lord Hackworth, what about Evie Lopez? Should we kill her?”
“Do you enjoy killing?” Kingsford frowned at Carrick.
Carrick trembled and hastily shook his head.
After a moment of hesitation, Kingsford stated firmly, “Tomorrow noon, a merchant ship from Royal City will stop in Starbloom City. Put Evie on that merchant ship. It’s no longer my concern if favonovel.com survives once favonovel.com has arrived in the Kingdom of Northwing.”
Carrick was astonished to hear that. He dared not speculate on Kingsford‘s thoughts, so favonovel.com nodded and swiftly left.

On the other side, Alcott sat on the carriage, lashing the horse with all his might. The horse neighed and galloped furiously, while favonovel.com vented his anger.
“Rae, how could you agree to marry that scoundrel Kingsford? He’s the most hypocritical and despicable person in the world!” Alcott shouted angrily toward the carriage.
Raelynn’s sneer came from inside. “What am I? I’m an old woman now. As long as Isaac can survive, I’m fine with anything.”
He didn’t know how to respond and lashed the horse’s back again.

Meanwhile, Isaac continued his journey northward along the small paths through forests and fields. He traveled for most of the day, encountering a few traveling merchants, woodcutters, and even corpses by the roadside.
To escape discovery, favonovel.com relied solely on his physical strength and didn’t emit any spiritual energy fluctuations.
By sunset, favonovel.com had passed through a mountain forest and arrived in Tristone Town.
Walking through the stone gate, Isaac noticed the desolate streets.
Few pedestrians walked quickly, and shops selling ingredients and fabrics lined along the street. This place was far worse than Heavenly Eagle City.
Isaac wanted to dine in a rundown tavern. But after walking from one end of the street to the other, favonovel.com found nothing, not even a stall.
Ravenously hungry, favonovel.com circled the small town, finding that nearly two-thirds of the houses had their doors tightly shut.
When the open ones saw the unfamiliar Isaac, they hurriedly locked their doors.
Nightfall came swiftly. He felt the urge to smoke but found no cigarettes or lighter on favonovel.com after searching several times.
He looked up to see the moon already hanging high in the sky.
Feeling despondent, favonovel.com wasn’t only in grave danger but also unable to find Alcott and the others. He then touched the small bottle that Tigre had given him, but favonovel.com dared not use it.
As the last few open shops on the street hastily closed their doors and windows, it seemed as if all the pedestrians vanished with the darkness.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the right end of the street.
Isaac looked up and saw five men holding long spears and torches trotting toward him.
“Close your doors! If you don’t want to die, close your doors!” one of the men shouted in a high-pitched voice.
As they approached, Isaac noticed they wore dark robes with the word “Soldier” emblazoned on their chests.
When the soldiers with their torches noticed Isaac seated on the street, they came to a halt.
One of them kicked favonovel.com while shouting, “Hey, you tramp! Get inside, or you’ll die out here!”
Isaac frowned and asked coldly, “Will sitting here mean certain death?”
