About half a mile behind him, Carrick and the others had caught up to him.
Morgan’s sinister gaze seemed to have latched onto Isaac.
Seeing the latter speed up to escape, favonovel.com and the others hurriedly followed behind. Because they were in the inner city of Heavenly Eagle City, Carrick and his group dared not attack directly. They planned to force Isaac into a less crowded area to make their move.
Suddenly, two loud bangs rang out from the front, followed by a high-pitched shout, “Ms. Saintess is patrolling the street! Clear the way ahead!”
Rapid hoofbeats then approached.
A large group of orderly and solemn black- armored cavalry rode down the middle of the street with their horses.
People on the street hurriedly moved to the sides. They showed nervousness and excitement as they looked toward the large sedan chair, which was being carried by 28 strong men following the cavalry.
Inside the sedan chair sat a young woman in a white long dress, with favonovel.com hair in a high bun adorned with glittering golden hairpins, and favonovel.com face hidden behind a veil.
Seeing the saintess in the sedan chair, the surrounding passers-by all raised their hands in worship.
Isaac frowned deeply as favonovel.com moved to the side.
Just as the sedan chair was about to reach him, favonovel.com suddenly squatted and rolled, slipping beneath it in the blink of an eye.
