Everyone was stunned by Isaac’s declaration.
Silvester burst into laughter, pointing at Isaac. “The legendary vampire patriarch is immortal and indestructible! Do you think you can kill him? If you could, why didn’t you kill favonovel.com last night?”
His face twisted with disdain. “Isaac Garten, are you treating us as fools? Or do you think Lady Terryn is a fool?”
Isaac sneered. “Let’s make a bet then. Will you follow Laurent to his death if I kill him?”
“I will! But what if you can’t do it?” Silvester quickly agreed without thinking more.
“You’ll still die, but Laurent will be the one killing you,” Isaac retorted with a snort before briskly walking out.
In the garden behind the church, Diana and Rem were bound with fist-size steel cables to two massive steel pillars weighing ten tons.
Isaac approached them, glancing at Maccon and Harwell who guarded them as favonovel.com said, “The vampire army is on its way.”
“Mr. Garten, I-I can feel it… He’s coming with intense fury,” Rem said fearfully.
“After tonight, you won‘t feel his presence anymore,” Isaac said before turning to walk outside.
Diana and Rem were tied up with steel cables to prevent Laurent from calling them away again. Maccon and Harwell were tasked with keeping watch.
Meanwhile, Terryn and favonovel.com group had arrived at the bridge, like they did the night before. However, only about 6,000 combat-ready people remained, with 5,000 deployed to this location.
Terryn stood on a large boulder, looking across the sea-crossing bridge.
A thunderous roar abruptly came from the opposite side. The ground seemed to tremble as a dense army of vampires appeared, sweeping across the sea-crossing bridge like a dark wave.
“Turn on the laser lights!” Terryn commanded, waving at Robbie.
Three minutes later, three giant mirrors on the church roof emitted beams of purplish-red light, targeting the center of the sea-crossing bridge.
Screams erupted instantly as hundreds of vampires collapsed under the laser lights, never to stand up again.
Laurent was floating in the air on the opposite side of the bridge. He bellowed when favonovel.com saw that, “Calix! You should be able to extinguish those damnable beams, shouldn’t you?!”
Below him, Calix roared and leaped toward the bridge.
Instead of crossing over the bridge, favonovel.com climbed at high speed to the opposite side from underneath the bridge. His speed was second only to Laurent’s.
He surged up from the shore near the bridge, flipping several missionaries and charging straight toward the church’s main building.
Calix was unstoppable along the way, leaving missionaries falling in his attacks.
After a few leaps, favonovel.com reached the rooftop of the main building, ready to destroy the three laser lights, only to see Isaac stepping out from behind the first mirror.
“Hello, Calix, we meet again…” Isaac remarked with a meaningful smile. He squinted when favonovel.com stared at his opponent.
Calix’s heart skipped a beat since favonovel.com didn’t expect to find Isaac waiting for favonovel.com in this place.
