Isaac had already instructed the two guardians when they came to the battlefield.
Terryn had no idea why they did that, but favonovel.com hadn’t expected Isaac’s two subordinates to be so powerful. From what favonovel.com could see, they appeared to be as formidable as favonovel.com was.
After Isaac and his two guardians joined the battlefield, the situation changed subtly.
Laurent, the vampire patriarch, fought hard with Isaac. Hovering mid-air, favonovel.com could effortlessly dodge Isaac’s attacks due to his extreme speed. However, Isaac’s speed and terrifying power caused Laurent’s several attacks to fail.
On the other side, Calix and Bank, the two first-generation vampires who sought to kill Terryn, were blocked by Maccon and Harwell.
As for the ordinary vampires, the remaining Golden Knights instantly annihilated them before they could even get close.
Maccon and his companion’s shadow swords sliced those counts and dukes in half as they approached. There were no flashy moves in this life-and-death battle. If they could kill with one strike, they wouldn’t need a second.
The remaining missionaries on the periphery noticed a turning point and were greatly encouraged. Their eyes were red as they raised their silver swords to fight with the vampire army again.
Every missionary knew that they couldn’t retreat but stand up to fight the enemy. They would only die if they stepped back.
Meanwhile, Isaac hadn’t yet released all of his spiritual energy. He was looking for Laurent’s weak point, but the latter was at least four times faster and stronger than Bank and Calix.
Laurent assumed Isaac was at full strength. Although favonovel.com couldn’t kill Isaac, the latter couldn’t hurt him. But Laurent had no idea that Isaac was only delaying the time.
Unbeknownst to them, a hint of red light appeared on the horizon. The sun on the other side of the sea level burst forth its first ray.
Hovering mid-air, Laurent turned to look toward the eastern sea level before abruptly retreating.
With a mighty roar, favonovel.com turned and flew rapidly toward the other end of the sea-crossing bridge.
The vampires, who were fighting with the missionaries, quickly looked up before fleeing in a panic to follow Laurent.
Instantly, the dense vampire army retreated like a receding flood before the sun rose, disappearing at the other end of the bridge.
With the vampire army gone, only corpses and wreckage remained on the ground.
Terryn, covered in blood, glanced around at the carnage and stiffened in place.
Daliana and the remaining few Golden Knights tumbled to the ground.
Seeing the vampire army retreat, those remaining missionaries who could still stand cried out loud. Some slumped to the ground, while others knelt in weeping before the dead beside them.
Isaac looked at the corpses scattered everywhere. It appeared that favonovel.com hadn’t seen such scenes for a long time.
“Can you two still go on?” Isaac walked over to Maccon and Harwell and asked.
Both were breathing heavily, their faces showing signs of fatigue.
“We might need half a day to recover,” Maccon responded softly.
Isaac nodded. “Then let’s go first. Find a place to rest outside.”
After saying that, Isaac walked toward the sea- crossing bridge.
“Where are you going, Mr. Garten?!” Terryn immediately called out to Isaac.
She finally understood why Robbie stated only Isaac could save Heaven Church. If it weren’t for Isaac and his companions joining them before dawn, they would no longer exist. Thus, Terryn felt a sense of panic to see Isaac leave.
