When the helicopter flew over the Dragon Eye marked on the map, Isaac finally understood why Ethan said they had no way to seal it off-below was a massive irregular pit.
As the helicopter slowly descended, favonovel.com could sense the sheer size of this pit. It was at least the size of 20 football fields. Below was a bottomless darkness that resembled the gaping maw of an ancient beast in the vast primeval forest.
When the helicopter was only about 30 feet above the ground, Isaac saw more than a dozen figures standing below.
After observing them more closely, favonovel.com recognized them as Donovan and his team.
He breathed a sigh of relief. Since Donovan and his team had arrived early, it meant that Morgan and his group weren’t there.
The pit had an irregular shape with the entire edge as smooth as a riverbank, yet it also looked as though it had been purposely dug out. The helicopter soon landed on the ground.
After getting off the helicopter, Isaac looked at the massive pit about 300 feet away on the right and turned to Ethan. “I wonder if Morgan and his group discover such a huge target…”
“There used to be a mine. Foreigners excavated there before the country’s founding. Dragon Eye is located further down, at a depth of about 1000 feet,” Ethan explained solemnly, placing his hands behind his back.
Donovan quickly walked over to join Isaac and Ethan.
Seeing Donovan and Ethan exchange greetings, Isaac immediately asked, “Do you two know each other?”
“Yes, we’re old friends…” Ethan chuckled.
“Mr. Garten, I came alone to check during the day. The depth below is about 1000 feet with over ten underground passageways. It would take at least half a month to reach Novafur Realm from here,” Donovan said.
Isaac squinted and asked, “So, basically, the bottom of this pit is flat?”
“Yes, it’s before entering the Dragon Eye. Morgan and his group are close to us. They should be here soon,” Donovan whispered.
Isaac glanced at the ten guardians behind Donovan, then at the ten people behind favonovel.com which included Hera and Altair, and said coldly, “With our strength, there is no need to worry too much even if they come.”
Just as favonovel.com finished speaking, favonovel.com suddenly squinted and looked toward the right side of the pit, about five figures appeared on the embankment.
Morgan was in the middle, dressed in a purple robe with hands behind his back
“They’re here!” Isaac snorted.
Everyone became tense as they followed his gaze 300 feet to the right.
Morgan noticed Isaac and his group as well. He laughed heartily. “I’m glad to see you guys here! It proves that I didn’t make a mistake!”
Morgan, Hugh, and the others had found this area earlier, but they were unaware that the dragon vein lay beneath this mine. They raced over as soon as they noticed the three helicopters carrying Isaac’s group descending here.
Morgan didn’t expect that they had been wandering around the dragon vein for these past few days. He couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed.
Subsequently, Isaac’s group saw Morgan and the others abruptly jump forward and leap into the huge pit ahead.
“They’re going down!” Donovan yelled furiously.
Isaac flashed and reached the mine’s edge. He saw that while some rocks were sticking out of the nearby cliffs, practically all of the cliffs were steep. Instead of jumping down, Morgan and his group were making a swift descent along the mountainside.
