This strange party, made up of a man, a silhouette, and a blue fox, slowly approached the Requiemous Temple’s main building.
“H-He’s here… It’s Lord Rebirth,” Theron muttered in a trembling voice. His body was all tense like a tightly wound string.
He had never felt this nervous or terrified in his over a hundred years of living.
When the middle-aged man stepped past the gate leading to the temple, the entire building seemed to shake violently.
A huge burst of purple soul energy suddenly erupted like a tidal wave beneath the temple. Instantly, a purple beam shot out toward Lord Rebirth’s face.
The purple beam was even faster than any attack Isaac could cast. But at that moment, Lord Rebirth simply raised his hand and caught the purple beam.
A cloud of black energy rushed from his palm, engulfing the purple beam. Not long after, the black gas reentered his palm. It was as if nothing even happened.
“The self-defense mechanism of the Arcane Spring still hasn’t changed after hundreds of years. It’s amusing,” Lord Rebirth’s ominous and shrill voice boomed. His right foot stepped through the door to the main building.
Lord Rebirth, the silhouette surrounded in a black smokescreen, and Sky Fox stopped a few hundred feet before Isaac and Theron.
The former cocked his head, staring straight at the group in front of him.
“Are you pesky beings the ones guarding this place this Rebirth Day? Hmm, let me see… There seems to be one Ninja Lord, one medium patriarch, two pests…”
At that instant, Isaac felt something like a cold blade run across his face. It stung slightly. He knew that Lord Rebirth was looking at favonovel.com and Hera.
Perhaps because favonovel.com wasn’t familiar with the spiritual energy waves inside Isaac and Hera, Lord Rebirth paused.
