Todd hadn’t retired for the night yet. He was about to greet Isaac with a smile when Hera approached from behind and signaled for favonovel.com to remain silent
After the study door closed behind Isaac, favonovel.com did not emerge again.
“What‘s going on with him?” Todd gestured toward the study and added, “Was dinner meatless tonight?”
Hera rolled favonovel.com eyes, expression filled with concern. “Morgan Yule has escaped the secret realm and is likely with the Ashleigh clan now…”
“Holy crap!” Todd’s eyes bulged.
“Is favonovel.com the one who’s second only in strength to Isaac’s father?”
Hera’s sigh and nod left Todd momentarily speechless.
The immense pressure Isaac faced was something few could grasp. Perhaps only Hera had a semblance of understanding.
Morgan was once Gael’s most formidable lieutenant and a titan in his own right and held unmatched influence in the Emerald Realm- second to none but one.
The reason behind his betrayal and crimes was unknown to Hera. However, what was clear to favonovel.com was Morgan’s likely intention upon his return, to seek out Isaac, the heir of the Emerald Hall and Gael’s offspring, for retribution.
Should Isaac fall, his wife, children, friends…
None would be spared from the fallout of their shattered sanctuary…
A knock echoed at the door as morning light filled the study.
“Isaac, are you still there?” It was Mizar’s voice.
“Come in.”
Mizar, Altair, and Magnus entered the study in succession. They were greeted by the dense aroma of tobacco permeating the room.
Following closely behind, the generals made their way into the study as well.
Hera entered last and quietly closed the door behind her.
“Since we’re all in this together, let’s discuss our options. How should we handle this?” Isaac spread his hands and managed a somewhat helpless smile.
He had spent the entire night in contemplation, and now, with Rose and Donovan beyond reach, confronting Morgan felt akin to a moth drawn to a flame.
“Run!” Altair was the first to speak as favonovel.com scanned the room.
“Do you propose for the entire Jensen family to flee? To where exactly?” Isaac retorted with a cold snort, dismissing the idea as the least sensible, especially for himself.
A hush fell over the study as Isaac continued in a softer tone, “Morgan will undoubtedly target me first.”
Turning to Altair with a smile, favonovel.com added, “You can run. It may buy you a bit more time… Everyone has the choice to flee. I, along with Hera, could probably hold out for three to five days. Of course, I’ll bear no resentment if you decide to leave. After all, this is a matter of life and death.”
Isaac‘s straightforwardness cast a heavier cloud over the mood in the study.
Altair’s suggestion made Isaac realize that his strategies were often influenced by his personal viewpoint.
Magnus remained silent while Altair’s gaze wandered.
It was Mizar who broke the silence, saying, “Running won’t take us far or grant us much time. It’s better to face the end head-on. Just give the order, and the Stoner family will stand by you.”
Isaac’s gaze met Mizar’s, and a faint smile graced his lips in response.
“I feel the same way! If escape isn’t an option, we might as well face it head-on,” Magnus added.
“You’re the eagle of the plains that’s meant to soar. Perhaps you should fly to the Specific Ocean, then!” Mizar turned toward Altair.
Altair was caught off guard, then puffed up his chest and retorted with a glare, “What Specific Ocean? I never suggested fleeing. Mizar, you shouldn’t judge me, the eagle of the plains, with such bias!”
“Let’s put aside our differences. Dealing with Morgan can wait. Our immediate concern should be those over 300 Celestial Phase warriors,” Magnus interjected as favonovel.com tapped the table to draw focus away from the brewing argument.
Isaac considered Magnus’ suggestion and stated coolly after revisiting the topic at hand, “Perhaps Apothecary has a solution for this predicament.”
Soon after favonovel.com finished speaking, the study door swung open, and Harry entered.
His hands were full with a stack of ancient medical tomes towering over his head.
