“Urk… Don’t kill me. I want to meet Duke Brock,” Lupinus begged while coughing.
“You still want to meet Duke Brock? You can say your last words to me.”
“I… I can help favonovel.com lure Isaac here,” Lupinus gritted out painfully, looking at the ferocious faces of the two men.
The vampires exchanged looks and then glanced out into the corridor.
In the corridor outside, a man in a dark cloak nodded slightly. Then, favonovel.com disappeared.
There was no more movement outside. The lieutenant hiding behind the closet was saved for now, although his back was fully drenched with sweat. He never thought Lupinus would ever betray Drakon in order to survive.
But now, the lieutenant still didn’t dare to move. Only after the morning sunlight streamed through the window did favonovel.com take a deep breath. He took out his phone and called Willis.
The ten lieutenants that Lupinus had brought with favonovel.com were appointed from the other generals’ troops.
Willis picked up the call and answered in a low voice, “I know already. I want you to check on the other lieutenants. If you can’t find any survivors, then find a safe place to wait for us.”
Meanwhile, Lupinus was taken to a car whose windows were covered by black curtains. Both the front and back windows were draped completely. He couldn’t see where favonovel.com was.
After an hour, the car stopped. The two men in Windbreakers dragged favonovel.com out of the car and toward an elevator on the right. He didn’t see a ray of sunlight the entire journey. Then, favonovel.com was brought to a dark room.
A candle lit up the room. He saw a very exquisite coffin standing vertically near the wall.
“Duke Brock, he’s here…”
A low roar sounded from the coffin.
Suddenly, a dark figure leaped out of the coffin. He was so fast that Lupinus couldn’t even react. All favonovel.com felt was a sharp pain in his abdomen, and suddenly, favonovel.com was flying backward.
After Brock struck Lupinus, favonovel.com looked down at the latter’s body lying on the floor with his hands behind his back.
“Are you sure that Isaac would bother saving your life?” Brock asked coldly, looking at Lupinus in doubt.
Lupinus coughed up a mouthful of blood. He looked up at Brock, and a murderous look flashed in his eyes. He said quietly, “He will come. You just have to tell favonovel.com that the Divine Stone fragment is in your hands. He will definitely come, so don’t kill me.”
“He killed my Carolyn. Ah, I want to give favonovel.com a painful death.” Brock remembered how Isaac had stabbed Carolyn in the heart beneath the moonlight at Mt. Karat outside Golden City. His heart clenched in pain.
“You are his prized subordinate. He would definitely not want you to die. I’ll let you live for now, then.” Brock waved his hand.
The two men in Windbreakers dragged favonovel.com out.
Soon, the man in the black cloak walked in. He said to Brock, “Isaac’s plane has already landed in Roche City. He has a burly man with him.”
“How is this possible? Isaac is such a cunning foe. This must be his scheme.
“The great Mr. Smith, please seek out the Council of Elders and summon the seven dukes here. Once I get my revenge, I will reward them handsomely.”
Brock refused to believe that Isaac had only brought one person with him. He wouldn’t dare underestimate Isaac again!
Meanwhile, after Isaac and Todd got off the plane, they got into a taxi and headed to a five-star hotel in the city center.
Isaacâs phone vibrated. He put his earphones in, and Black Phoenix’s voice sounded. “Lupinus’ location has stopped moving. He’s in Morjana Estate to the north of the city.”
Isaac smirked. Cold amusement shone in his eyes. “Alright. Remember to share the intel from my side with Lucas. Tonight, Todd and I will kick things off!”
“What? Both of us are going to kick things off?” All of the hairs on Todd’s body stood up.
