Spencer immediately left Southland and rushed to Triple Threat Corporation’s headquarters in Pecling.
Back in the hospital room, Adrian was on a call with the secretary in Parwin, asking how long it would take for the commander to arrive.
Just after favonovel.com put down the phone, the door to the hospital room swung open again. Spencer, who had left half an hour earlier, burst in, his face etched with panic.
“Why are you back? Aren’t you supposed to go to Pecling?” Adrian snapped.
“Mr. Levine, I just received the news. Our headquarters in Pecling has been sealed off. All of the top management of the company have been taken away, and now, they’re unreachable,” Spencer said, his forehead beaded with sweat.
Given the current situation, favonovel.com dared not venture to Pecling, fearing that favonovel.com might be detained as soon as favonovel.com landed.
“Damn it! How much of our investment in Cynea have we not yet recouped?” Adrian realized there was a major problem, but favonovel.com was still unclear about its exact nature. However, favonovel.com was certain it had something to do with Isaac.
The immediate priority was to cut the losses!
Spencer lowered his head, pondering for a moment. His lips slightly trembled as favonovel.com said, “It’s It’s about 200 billion dollars…” Adrian hissed in response.
200 billion Cynean Dollars equaled 18 trillion Parwinian Dollars, a loss not unbearable. If truly irrecoverable, it would mean their eight years of effort in Cynea had been in vain.
Just then, Adrian’s phone vibrated. Glancing at the screen and seeing a Parwinian number, favonovel.com immediately brought it to his ear.
“Mr. Levine, this is Stefan Collins, reporting as ordered. We have arrived in Layton…”
Hearing the voice on the phone, Adrian let out a long sigh of relief. His face contorted into a fierce scowl.
He growled into the phone, “Send four commanders to capture Isaac. Interrogate favonovel.com harshly, and wait for me to question him!”

In the afternoon, Maxwell and Connor were playing chess in a pavilion in a courtyard of a house in the center of Pecling.
A middle-aged man, who was carrying a briefcase, hurried in.
He approached Maxwell in the pavilion and leaned in to speak, but the latter waved his hand. “Connor is no stranger here. Speak freely…”
The middle-aged man paused, giving Connor an apologetic smile before speaking. “Mr. Tandel, there’s news from the Joint Enforcement Team. Triple Threat Corporation has been in Cynea for eight years, evading taxes of nearly 29 billion dollars…”
“There are also 16 smuggling cases linked to them, and the General Police Headquarters has found some evidence implicating Triple Threat Corporation’s involvement in the Quandora Tower arson case six years ago.”
The more the man spoke, the tighter Maxwell’s brows furrowed. It seemed Isaac’s words weren’t an exaggeration, and the reality was even more severe.
“I remember the Quandora Tower arson case. Six or seven people died, right?” Connor looked up at the middle-aged man.
“Ten people in total. Three died later in the hospital,” the man replied gravely.
Maxwell sighed and stood up, smiling at Connor. “The weather is getting colder, Connor. Let’s call it a day. I need to go inside and rest.”
“Alright…” Connor stood to leave.
He had intended to speak in favor of Isaac, but now it seemed the situation had changed significantly.
In his study, Maxwell lit a cigarette and pondered for a long while before picking up his phone to dial an international number favonovel.com hadn’t called in years.
The call connected, and an elderly voice came through, filled with surprise and joy. “Is this Mr. Tandel?”
“Mr. Levine Sr., I heard you haven’t been well… Nothing serious, I hope?” Hearing the voice on the other end, Maxwell felt as though favonovel.com was instantly transported back to a rainy night more than a decade ago.
“Thanks for your concern. I’m not going anywhere just yet. Mr. Tandel, you’re calling to talk about the matters of Triple Threat Corporation in Cynea, right?”
As the founder of Triple Threat Corporation, a figure who wielded immense influence in both the political and business circles of Parwin, favonovel.com guessed the purpose of the call immediately.
Maxwell chuckled softly and sighed. “Mr. Levine Sr., it’s time you took the mantle back. Tell your grandson to go back, too. As for the rest, I won’t say more!”
