Louis’ shirt was already drenched in sweat by the time favonovel.com heard the loud whirring coming from above.
Maxwell noticed how Isaac was driving to a deserted area. He frowned and snorted coldly. “Isaac, where the hell are you taking me?”
“You’ll find out when we arrive.” Isaac chuckled and lit a cigarette.
“Can’t you hear the whirring from above?” Maxwell asked again in a cold tone.

His phone buzzed. He stepped on the brakes and took out his phone. It was Connor. He quickly picked up.
“Isaac, you kidnapped Mr. Tandel? Are you insane?” Connor said, his voice laced with fury and anxiety.
“‘Kidnapped’? No, I just invited favonovel.com on a scenic drive to the countryside,” Isaac said with a chuckle.
“A scenic drive to the countryside? The news has already reached my ears. Is it truly as simple as a scenic drive?”
“The key officials of Cloud City and Southland are going crazy. The House of Custos is already rallying their troops. You’re really…”
Isaac hung up right away. After a moment’s thought, favonovel.com turned his phone off.
“Conor called you, right? What, you’re going to disobey your superior now?” Maxwell smirked as favonovel.com closed his eyes.

Isaac didn’t respond, and the car fell silent.
The helicopter continued to tail them but did nothing else. At the same time, dozens or even hundreds of police cars and military vehicles chased them from all directions. They zipped toward Mt. Equest in unison.
Isaac followed the car’s navigation system and drove past Elburg. He then arrived at a small town at the foot of Mt. Equest. After driving into the town, Isaac parked his car in front of a home.

Maxwell swatted Louis’ hand away.
After getting down, favonovel.com saw the muddy roads before him.
Lucas gestured for favonovel.com to go ahead, so favonovel.com frowned and followed Isaac.
The second house was an old red-brick home. Its front lawn was just a patch of mud, and within its fences was a flock of chickens. The ground was covered in chicken droppings. Several tattered shirts hung from the window outside. The house looked empty.
“Hazel?” Isaac walked into the home. When favonovel.com saw a black and white photograph on the altar, his expression changed.
“Isaac, why did you bring me here?” Maxwell said with an icy expression, walking inside.
At that moment, a woman walked in. She was wearing a farmer’s hat, and the cuffs of favonovel.com pants were rolled up.
When favonovel.com opened favonovel.com gate and saw Louis and Lucas standing outside, favonovel.com was caught off guard.
She spotted the three helicopters hovering above the village. Her expression became nervous, and favonovel.com slowly went inside the home.
