After getting dressed and walking into the study, favonovel.com found Maxwell sitting there with a dark expression.
“Heh, Mr. Tandel, what made you come to my place in the middle of the night?” Connor said instead of greeting, grinning.
“Hmph, Mr. Hart, you’re younger than me, and you’ve spent less time in Pecling than I have. However, aren’t your subordinates getting a little too arrogant?” Maxwell yelled angrily, slamming his hand on the table.
Of course Maxwell knew about Isaac. But to his knowledge, the young punk most likely only had a special relationship with Connor. As the lord of the Temple of Drakon, favonovel.com could even pay no mind to the House of Custos. But Maxwell wasn’t at all comparable to the Supreme Commander of the House of Custos.
“Mr. Tandel, Isaac is not my subordinate…”
“Then what relationship do you have with him?” Maxwell smiled coldly.
Connor pondered it for a moment. “If you have to place a label on it, you can think of us as close friends despite our age gap.”
“Haha! Close friends? You, Connor Hart, are friends with a young man not even 30 years old?! Alright, Mr. Hart. Let’s not beat around the bush anymore. I came to let you know that I’m heading to Cloud City at dawn. I will personally get justice for Triple Threat Corporation!”
Watching as Maxwell left huffily, Connor’s smile vanished.
Maxwell was different from the Supreme Commander of the House of Custos. He had climbed his way up from the very bottom. After so many years in Pecling, even Ethan had to carefully ponder Maxwell’s words.
“What has that punk, Isaac, done this time?”
After ruminating over it, Connor waved his secretary over from the doorway. “Call me when the sun rises. Ask the driver to get ready to take me to Mr. Grannel’s home.”

At that moment, Isaac had no idea that the news about the task favonovel.com asked Shawn to do had already reached Pecling. He also didn’t know that Connor didn’t get a full night’s sleep because of it.
At dawn, Isaac was still fast asleep when a large fleet of police cars suddenly appeared on the streets. There were even other special vehicles like bulletproof cars. At the very end was a huge fleet of military trucks.
The vehicles sped over to certain hotels, bars, and nightclubs. Police officers and soldiers rapidly stormed in.
A while later, they hauled a huge group of young men dressed only in pants onto their vehicles.
Isaac’s phone vibrated on his bedside table. He picked it up.
He heard Louis’ trembling voice. “Isaac, something big has happened… Shawn was arrested. Many of his subordinates were taken, too.”
Isaac shot up in bed. Next to him, Allegra also sat up after being jolted awake.
“What happened?” Isaac asked coldly.
“I also just heard that Mr. Tandel is coming to Cloud City. He made a direct call to the governor to order the House of Custos to lend their best soldiers from the Southland Military as well as from the neighboring provinces… This is about Triple Threat Corporation, Mr. Garten!” The terror in Louis’ voice was palpable.
Maxwell had already made a huge commotion even before favonovel.com got here. Clearly, favonovel.com was really infuriated this time!
