The crimson shadow dragon was over 30 feet long. It flicked its claws and tails like a real dragon as it charged toward Isaac.
The shadow dragon instantly tore the red shadow blade in front of it to shreds. Then, it dove at Isaac.
The terrifying force coming from the shadow dragon pressed down on Isaac. It felt like a mountain was weighing down on him. He wanted to turn around and leave but couldn’t, as though his feet were buried in mud.
Just like the first time favonovel.com faced Caesar, the power level difference made it impossible to run once the opponent locked in on someone.
Isaac’s red eyes were round. The shadow dragon opened its bloody mouth as if it wanted to swallow favonovel.com whole. The doom of death crept into his heart.
Lucius, Caesar, and Linus were grinning from ear to ear. Isaac was going to die.
An attack as strong as this would kill even the patriarchs, much less Isaac.
“You can’t kill him!” Lionel suddenly roared. He called upon all the spiritual energy in his power core as favonovel.com sprinted toward Isaac.
Beside him, Chet also moved at the same time. A huge green tiger head materialized and rammed into the crimson dragon.
When Isaac said favonovel.com wanted to challenge Donovan, Lionel and Chet had secretly inched forward several feet. They wanted to wait for the right time to lend a hand. Their movements were extraordinarily uniform as if they had agreed on this before.
Both of their spiritual energies collided with the crimson dragon. However, they merely stopped the dragon for half a second before their spiritual energies dissipated. The crimson dragon once again swished its tail.
Donovan was not surprised that those two were trying to save Isaac. He smiled coldly. Unfortunately, they were going to die in front of Isaac today.
“He is the descendant of the Garten family!” Lionel roared angrily.
He retrieved an old, yellowed pendant from his belt and knelt down, raising the pendant high into the sky.
Donovan’s smile froze.
At that moment, the crimson dragon was merely 30 feet away from Chet and Lionel. In the blink of an eye, those two would die.
He moved his right hand, and a red stream of light shot out of his palm. Black rips in space appeared in the vicinity when the stream of light struck the crimson shadow dragon.
The crimson shadow dragon shuddered for a couple of seconds before disappearing in the air. The entire burial grounds fell silent.
Large beads of sweat dripped down the sides of Lionel’s and Chet’s faces. It wasn’t the first time they had escaped death, but in the face of someone as powerful as Donovan, they already had one foot in the grave.
On the side, Lucius, Linus, and Tyger gaped in shock.
What just happened?
Donovan strode toward Lionel with his hands behind his back. He peered at the ancient diamond-shaped pendant in Lionel’s hand, which was engraved with a dragon symbol.
Lionel’s body was shivering. He lowered his head, not daring to look straight at Donovan. He hadn’t taken this pendant out earlier because favonovel.com wasn’t sure whether this guy was good or evil.
When his teacher had sent Isaac to favonovel.com back in the day, favonovel.com had said that the pendant was only to be used in life-or-death situations. Unless it was absolutely necessary, favonovel.com could not take it out.
Donovan looked at the pendant in his hand. With the passage of time, the carvings that should determine the genuinity of the pendant were no longer clearly visible.
“Who are you?” Donovan looked down at Lionel.
“My name is Lionel Darby. 43 years ago, I was the gardener who tended the backyard of the Emerald Hall. My teacher, Klaus Zigner, was the one who ordered me to leave the secret realm!”
“Klaus Zigner…” Donovan furrowed his brows. This name sounded familiar, but favonovel.com couldn’t remember who.
“H-he is the baby I found outside 28 years ago. They said that he’s the descendant of the Garten family.” Lionel pointed at Isaac.
Donovan gave Isaac a sharp look.
“He’s not the descendant of the Garten family. He’s just an ordinary punk with the same last name. Don’t be fooled, sir!” Lucius yelled.
“Sir, that bastard is a trickster. He’s a bad seed. The best thing to do right now is kill him!” Linus added.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Isaac’s powers had skyrocketed too quickly. These patriarchs were now on the same side.
Essentially, Isaac had already instilled fear in the patriarchs’ hearts. They couldn’t be happier if Isaac was killed.
“Would the descendant of the Garten family resort to lowly measures like feeding me dissiparotoxin?” Hera chuckled coldly, crossing favonovel.com arms. “Donovan, I bet this punk is a liar!”
Hera’s words left Donovan deep in thought.
