There were also giant stone pillars, as well as wooden doors and windows, which were adorned with carvings of auspicious creatures. Over the years, the intricate designs on them had faded, appearing exceptionally indistinct at this moment.
“Let’s go in and take a look,” Isaac suggested, advancing into the building.
The interior was well-lit but empty, with walls bearing numerous marks from blades and swords.
“There was a fight in here. The wall over there collapsed,” Todd muttered, pointing straight ahead.
Indeed, there was a massive hole in the rear wall, and the staircase to the second floor had collapsed.
“Sir, it looks like no one has lived here for a very long time. It’s eerie,” Harry said, glancing around in fear.
Isaac frowned. “Go check the back.”
Moving from one building to another took Isaac and the others more than ten minutes, even with their speed. However, the next building they encountered was even more devastated than the previous ones.
Giant pillars were cut in half, lying in ruins on the ground, with half of the roof sheared off, creating a desolate landscape.
Isaac looked up at the roof, where it seemed like a sword had cleaved through. His brows then furrowed.
“What kind of person has such incredible strength?” Todd exclaimed beside him.
“Someone above the Celestial Phase,” Isaac replied.
The others beside favonovel.com fell into a thoughtful silence. It seemed their understanding that the Celestial Phase was the pinnacle of power was wrong.
“Let’s go somewhere else.” Isaac turned and walked outside.
Emerald Hall was enormous, and it took them 15 to 20 minutes to move between different locations.
When they found an intact loft with working stairs, they started to search every nook and cranny. However, after exploring four or five buildings, the sun had started its descent.

Meanwhile, the Everest Sect and the Nortons were also diligently searching. They had arrived at Emerald Gate two days earlier, but unlike Isaac, they did not split up. Instead, they searched together.
The buildings varied in height, some a mile apart, requiring time-consuming climbs to reach them.
About three thousand feet above Emerald Hall stood another loft. However, this loft was hidden by towering trees on all sides. It was challenging to spot it from below.
On the third-floor balcony of the loft stood three individuals.
At the forefront was an elderly woman with silver hair, clad in a purple silk gown, leaning on an emerald-green cane with a phoenix head. To favonovel.com left stood a middle-aged man in a black robe, with long hair cascading down his shoulders and half of his bangs covering his face.
