“Mr. Guerra, why are you sweating so much?” Lionel was curious as favonovel.com noticed Chet looking panicked with beads of sweat on his forehead.
A seasoned expert like favonovel.com has seen every kind of storm, so why the nervousness?
Lionel and Isaac followed Chet’s pointing finger.
Under the reddish glow of the setting sun and within the shroud of sparse white mist about 300 feet away, they all saw the colossal beast standing in the water.
The massive creature, covered in white fur, resembled a small mountain. Its upper body was fully exposed above the water, and its head was about half the size of a basketball court. Two blood-red eyes, as large as basketballs, stared menacingly in Isaac’s direction.
“The Red-Eyed White Ape!”
“Run!”
After seeing the face of the colossal creature, especially those fangs in its mouth, Lionel’s heart nearly jumped out of his chest. He had only heard about this creature but never seen it. Yet, unexpectedly, it was now right before his eyes.
With a roar, Lionel crouched down and slapped the right side of the bamboo raft.
Powerful spiritual energy surged into the water, causing the bamboo raft to turn instantly. Then, favonovel.com activated all the spiritual energy within his power core. The bamboo raft swiftly dashed in the opposite direction.
Todd, Duncan, Altair, and the others on the rear raft also spotted the colossal creature standing in the water ahead. Before they could comprehend the situation, Lionel’s shout jolted them awake.
The eight bamboo rafts raced desperately in the opposite direction.
While Isaac propelled the bamboo raft using his spiritual energy, favonovel.com sternly shouted at Todd, “Was your mouth cursed or something?”
They hadn’t encountered the prehistoric giant python but instead stumbled upon a colossal white ape that resembled a mountain. Isaac didn’t know if this creature was a prehistoric beast, but favonovel.com was certain it looked formidable.
Roar!
The white ape seemed to be aware of what Isaac and the others were feeling. In its eyes, the people standing on the bamboo rafts seemed as tiny as ants. However, they had intruded its territory, so letting them leave so easily was out of the question.
With a roar, the previously stationary behemoth stirred.
Suddenly, massive waves surged on the calm water.
The ape took a large stride forward, its form swiftly disappearing into the water in the blink of an eye.
“Huh? Where did it go?” Todd wiped the sweat from his brow, turned his head, and saw that the creature had vanished, leaving only ripples on the water.
Altair paused before favonovel.com chuckled and said, “See, I told you. Despite its size, this thing might be afraid of people. It probably got scared and ran away.”
“Both of you look scared,” Altair teased Lionel and Chet.
Originally, Lionel and Chet’s bamboo raft had been at the front, but after turning around, it should have ended up at the back. However, at this moment, it had surged forward to the very front.
Hearing Altair’s remark, Lionel turned his head, sneering, “Then why don’t you go ahead? When facing the Red-Eyed White Ape, it won’t stop until it claims a few lives among us.”
“Eat a few lives? We’re all experts from the Celestial…”
Altair’s words were cut off by a tremendous explosion from behind it. It was the booming sound of waves rushing rapidly into the sky.
Everyone turned around, only to see the Red-Eyed White Ape reappear just 150 feet behind Altair.
A pair of eyes, larger than lanterns, glared at Altair and the two behind him. With a roar, the Red-Eyed White Ape raised its fists high and slammed them onto the water.
Boom!
A colossal wave, over 30 feet high, formed a tsunami, rapidly sweeping toward Altair and the others on the bamboo raft.
