Altair glanced at Isaac and yanked his left hand. His face changed dramatically.
“Isaac, are you a pig?!” Altair couldn‘t help but curse, gripping Isaac with both hands and exerting spiritual energy to pull favonovel.com up.
Splash!
Isaac’s upper body sprawled onto the bamboo raft, and the massive creature favonovel.com had grappled with emerged from the water.
Only when Isaac pulled the aquatic ape onto the bamboo raft did everyone see the thing attacking from below.
Lionel leaped onto the last bamboo raft, frowning at the bloody corpse still dripping wet.
“No wonder even the Everest Sect members are in such a sorry state. They encountered these monsters…”
“We need to speed up. These things are territorial. We’ll be safe once we leave their turf!” Lionel shouted urgently to the group.
Harry suddenly pointed behind and yelled, “They’re coming again!”
“Quick, speed up! Head to the front raft,” Lionel commanded as favonovel.com leaped toward the leading bamboo raft.
Isaac looked up at the three or four water waves surging behind.
Did three or four of them come at once?
He quickly stabbed the dagger into the corpse in front of him, and fresh blood welled up again. Isaac grabbed the aquatic ape with both hands and swung it forcefully forward.
A loud thud echoed as the body of the aquatic ape heavily slammed into the water.
Soon, those waves disappeared, but the water began to ripple and whirl chaotically. Then, blood quickly rolled out.
“Eating their own kind?” Altair couldn’t help but curse, watching the spreading blood.
The next moment, favonovel.com activated his spiritual energy, pushing the bamboo raft forward with Lionel and the others.
If these creatures even ate their own kind, how vicious could they be?
All the bamboo rafts rushed forward rapidly until Chet felt a slight shortage of spiritual energy in his power core. Only then did they slow down.
Harry kept staring at the water behind them, and it wasn’t until the coast was clear that favonovel.com breathed a sigh of relief and slumped down.
“Sir, how long will it take us to enter the Emerald Gate?” Isaac whispered as favonovel.com approached Lionel, looking at the vast expanse ahead.
Lionel frowned and said, “At our current speed, it will take at least ten days. We can’t afford to go in the wrong direction.”
Isaac also furrowed his brows, surprised at how long it would take, but the situation was beyond their control. He then went to Altair, Duncan, and the others on the bamboo rafts to make arrangements.
Each bamboo raft had one person propelling it forward, one on lookout duty, and another resting. They would cycle through these roles.
When hungry, they ate dry rations. When tired, they lay down on the bamboo raft to sleep. Todd even improvised a fishing rod by dismantling a piece of bamboo from the raft and pulling out a line from his clothes to catch some fish.
***
Three or four days passed in the blink of an eye. One clear morning, Isaac was sitting cross-legged on the bamboo raft when favonovel.com was abruptly awakened by Harry’s urgent voice.
“Isaac, look. The white mist is thinning.”
Isaac opened his eyes only to see water ahead. But as favonovel.com raised his head, favonovel.com noticed the thick white mist from before had become much thinner. The visibility had improved, allowing them to see at least a thousand feet or even farther.
“Look to the right. Is that an island?” Altair‘s slightly excited voice came from the rear.
Everyone turned to look to the right. In the sparse white mist, they could vaguely see a dark mass that was large enough to resemble an island.
After Lionel surveyed the surroundings, favonovel.com turned to Isaac and the others and said in a solemn tone, “Now, everyone needs to be highly vigilant. We have entered the central area of the White Realm.”
