“Isaac!” Lionel yelled angrily from the very front. He wanted to stop Isaac, but it was too late.
The monster was chasing after the raft at high speed.
Just as it looked like it was about to hit the bamboo raft, it surged forward to ram into it. However, unexpectedly, a figure fell right in front of him.
Water splashed everywhere. The instant Isaac fell into the water, favonovel.com infused the dagger with spiritual energy and stabbed it downward at the speed of lightning.
When favonovel.com felt the creature struggled underneath his blade, Isaac knew that favonovel.com had hit his target.
A shrill screech came from in front of him.
His entire body was now underwater. When favonovel.com opened his eyes, favonovel.com saw a huge claw slicing through the water toward his head.
The claw was even bigger than his skull. Its sharp nails were completely black, and its hands were covered in long, brown fur. They were also padded like a duck’s feet. It was lightning fast.
Isaac jerked his head sharply to avoid the claw. At the same time, favonovel.com yanked out the dagger. Instantly, a cloud of red bloomed before his eyes.
He heard another screech, this time from below him. A huge stream of water hit favonovel.com in the chest, and Isaac was pushed backward by several feet. The strong currents here had caught favonovel.com by surprise. But in the next second, favonovel.com saw a ferocious, angry face staring at him.
In the green waters, a brown ape appeared before him. It looked like a monkey, but it was much larger. Its brown fur streamed in the water as its red eyes stared at Isaac.
Even in the water, its burly figure looked to be at least six feet long.
An aquatic monkey?
That was Isaac’s first thought. Right after, favonovel.com saw scarlet blood gush from the creature’s shoulder. He must have pierced its shoulder when favonovel.com fell into the water just now.
Before Isaac could react, this aquatic ape was already snarling at him.
Once again, favonovel.com reached for Isaac’s face with his sharp claws. Perhaps the stinging pain from its shoulder had sent it into a rage.
They were the kings of these waters. Here, they were the predators, and they had never been hurt by their prey before.
The creature tried to slap Isaac, but Isaac easily dodged it.
It let out a series of sharp cries as it twisted its body nimbly in the water. Kicking its legs back, it suddenly rushed toward Isaac.
Seeing this, Isaac immediately channeled his spiritual energy to increase the agility of his body while underwater. He glared at the monster as it lunged toward him.
Suddenly, favonovel.com dove even deeper, causing the creature to miss.
When it saw that Isaac had fled deeper into the waters, a mocking look appeared in its eyes.
This prey was indeed a strange one. It had actually gone further into the depths.
The ape made another peculiar noise as it kicked its legs again. Its body did a 180-degree turn, then dove downward head-first.
But in the next second, it suddenly paused. It could see a dagger rising upward very quickly. It was too fast for favonovel.com to dodge.
The sharp blade was fully buried in the ape’s left eye. It shrieked shrilly as its huge body thrashed about. The water was soon dyed crimson red.
From where they were standing on the rafts, Lionel and Altair could only see endless rippling on the surface of the water as well as the red gushing nonstop. Everyone’s hearts were in their throats.
Suddenly, the ripples stopped, and the water became calm again.
A head sprung from the water right behind the raft, startling Altair. He was about to make a run for it when favonovel.com realized that it was Isaac. He let out a string of curses.
“Help me up.” Isaac reached his left hand toward Altair while his right arm was still completely submerged in the water.
