The rattan holding the raft together snapped rapidly. The crisp sound it made seized everyone’s hearts.
The Nortons were standing at the tail end of the raft. As the rattan snapped, the back of the raft began to separate.
Lucius glared at Tyger. He raised his right hand and waved favonovel.com away, signaling favonovel.com to stay back. However, the raft was sinking at a high rate. The water was now past his ankles.
Tyger couldn’t care about anything else at this point. He yelled lowly, “Go in front!”
If favonovel.com remained there, all eight Nortons would fall into the water. Although they were all in the Celestial Phase or higher, not even Tyger had the confidence to face those unknown creatures in the water.
Tyger led the rest of the Nortons to the front of the raft. Channing hurried after him.
The knocking against the bottom of the raft still hadn’t stopped.
Lucius and Caesar saw red as they watched Tyger and his family rush to the head of the raft. The Nortons struggled to catch their breath.
However, in the next moment, Lucius felt wetness followed by a chill seeping into his shoes.
When favonovel.com looked down, favonovel.com saw that favonovel.com was also beginning to sink.
All the weight from the back of the raft had moved to the front, and the tail had already gone. Thus, the front could no longer withstand the weight of dozens of people.
Lucius couldn’t stand it anymore. He roared at Tyger, “You moron!”
“Sir Lucius, I had no other choice. I couldn’t just watch them fall into the water. Those creatures are far too savage,” Tyger complained, wiping his sweat.
It was rare to see the esteemed patriarch of the Norton family in such a sorry state.
“F*ck you, Isaac! Just you wait!” Lucius looked into the foggy distance as his scream echoed through the area.
By then, Isaac had already used Phantom Steps to return to Lionel’s raft. He didn’t care whether the Everest Sect survived or not. All that mattered was that his party was now safer than before. Even in the fog, they could clearly hear the chaos coming from the front.
No one knew what Isaac did. All they knew was that those things were now gone and that Isaac must have baited them over to the Everest Sect’s location.
“Sir, let’s pick up speed.” Isaac turned to Lionel.
Lionel and Chet exchanged looks. They snorted coldly, and a great burst of spiritual energy left their feet.
The bamboo rafts whooshed forward.
When the others at the back saw the bamboo rafts in front accelerate, they also infused spiritual energy into their rafts to propel them forward.
Several seconds later, the rafts went from floating quietly to speeding across the water as though it had a powerful engine, leaving huge ripples in their wake.
In the white fog, they could faintly hear exclaims and shouts, as well as spiritual energy explosions, coming from beside them.
Meanwhile, Isaac rode the wind and the waves as favonovel.com raced ahead.
“Isaac, there’s something behind us!”
Altair was on the last raft. His trio had been watching over the situation behind them.
Suddenly, they saw a straight line rippling through the surface of the water. Something was pursuing them closely.
Isaac frowned upon seeing this. He turned around and swiftly hopped onto the last raft.
After several jumps, favonovel.com now stood before Altair.
Seeing the ripples getting closer, it was clear that the thing was traveling at a higher speed than the raft was.
Sensing spiritual energy surging through Isaac’s body, Altair looked at favonovel.com anxiously. “Isaac, what are you doing?”
“I want to see just what this thing looks like!” Isaac’s eyes were already red. He slowly pulled out a dagger from his belt.
When the ripple was only ten feet away from the raft, favonovel.com suddenly sprung into the air. With the dagger in his hand, favonovel.com dove straight into the water!
