Everyone watched as the scorn and ridicule faded from Obi Kahn’s narrowed gaze.

“That’s right. He’s walking to his death,” Caesar said sinisterly. His eyes glinted with frost.
Magnus frowned, and a complicated look crossed his eyes.
Out of everyone, only Allegra looked worried. She clenched favonovel.com small fists and leaned forward, wishing favonovel.com could dash over and stop Isaac from entering the Divine Tower. However, favonovel.com knew favonovel.com was not strong enough, much less able to protect Isaac.
As Isaac stepped through the doors, his vision suddenly went dark.
In the next second, the sound of grinding gears echoed behind him. The stone doors slowly closed.

Inside the Divine Tower, it was so quiet that favonovel.com could only hear the sound of his breathing. He couldn’t even see Obi’s silhouette in the dark.
After about ten seconds, a faint green glow suddenly filled the surroundings. It seemed to be coming from the walls.
Slowly, it grew brighter. The interior of the Divine Tower was very spacious and empty. After his eyes got used to the dim lighting, favonovel.com saw that Obi was merely standing ten feet away from him.
He was currently looking Isaac up and down with his hands behind his back.
“Isaac, I’ve waited 28 years for you…”
Obi’s aged voice made Isaac’s mouth twitch. He surveyed his surroundings before saying with a frown, “Sir Obi, did you just say you’ve waited 28 years for me?”
“Yes… When the secret realm opened this time, I knew you were coming. That was why I came here personally…”
“Sir Obi, w-why did you want to wait here…”
“There’s no need to ask me now. Once you enter the Emerald Gate, all your questions will be answered. Just follow me upstairs…” Obi waved his hand and headed for the stairs on the right.
The stairs were made of rectangular stones. It didn’t have a railing, but it felt very sturdy beneath their feet.
