The red-scaled python looked up as if it could feel something was coming. It tossed its head and let out a strange howl. Then, its body slithered up the tower before it thrust its head upward.

The snake turned around and coiled its tail around the tip of the tower.
Suddenly, it dove down. It was so quick that the martial artists didn’t even have time to react.
It opened its bloody mouth. One of the Ashleigh clan hall leaders didn’t manage to flee in time before it was swallowed by the snake in one huge gulp. The snake raised its head, and the entire person slid down its throat.
Linus came to a realization. He yelled at the remaining seven Ashleighs, “Retreat!”
In an instant, they backed away several hundred feet. All the while, they stared at the horrifying snake in front of them in terror. Yet, the red-scaled python didn’t pursue them. It merely curled its tail around the tip of the tower and looked down loftily at its “enemies” from a distance of hundreds of feet.
“Sir Lucius, what do we do? I’ve already lost two generals.” Linus looked at Lucius, who was slightly scuffed up.
Lucius’ chest was heaving quickly. He had already used the Everest Heavenly Mark twice. Even at his strength, the spiritual energy in his power core wasn’t sufficient. His breathing was all over the place.
He turned to glance at Chet and the others coldly. “If we can’t get close to it, all we can do now is to retreat and come up with another strategy. Otherwise, we wait for the Nortons to arrive.”
Perhaps things would change once Tyger was here.
At that moment, a cold voice came from the forest. “This is just a beast, yet you two patriarchs are rendered helpless?”
Everyone’s hearts jumped as they turned toward the forest.
