Todd glanced around and couldn’t help but sighed inwardly. He couldn’t believe that Isaac could manage the Temple of Drakon at such a young age.
He is indeed extraordinary…
“Let’s start by discussing each of your situations,” Isaac said, lighting a cigarette.
Elliot was the first to speak. “Everything is currently normal on my end.”
“Drakon, I’ve replaced a batch of equipment, but I’m still short by over a billion. Um could you approve it in advance?” Janessa hesitated, looking at Isaac.
“Approved,” Isaac nodded without hesitation.
The Temple of Drakon had a fixed schedule for equipment checks and replacements. Janessa did it in advance, and while favonovel.com was nervously waiting for approval, Isaac readily gave his consent.
“Things in the northwest have been uneasy lately, with frequent provocations from Darkit. Their Martial Legion once showed up six miles from the border,” Mitchell suddenly spoke up.
“Darkit has the audacity for this?” Isaac narrowed his eyes.
Mitchell sneered, “It’s because the Kingdom of Aquila is backing them up from behind.”
“The Kingdom of Aquila probably can’t stand seeing our country rapidly developing in recent years,” Willis added with a hint of mockery.
“How’s the House of Custos handling things?” Isaac blew a smoke ring and looked at Mitchell.
“The Frontier Defense Force has increased patrol, and we’ve added 20 thousand troops. It should be enough to keep things under control for the short term,” Mitchell responded.
Isaac nodded. “Let the House of Custos take the lead for now.”
After the other generals finished speaking, Isaac extinguished his cigarette. Everyone started to focus, knowing that it was time to discuss serious matters.
“Two things. First, the Emerald Realm is about to open, and I’ll be leaving for a while. You all know this. Among the eight of you, four will stay behind to keep an eye on things.”
“Lucas, Willis, Lightning, Colton. The four of you will accompany me into the Emerald Realm.”
“Sir, uhm, I…” Harry, feeling anxious, raised his hand and spoke.
“Of course, you’re coming with me, too.”
Hearing that, Harry breathed a sigh of relief.
As they heard Isaac’s words, the eight generals exchanged glances. Even Black Phoenix, who was sitting nearby, was caught off guard. But clearly, Isaac had already made his decision, so no one dared to argue.
“Second matter. After I leave, Elliot will be in charge of the Temple of Drakon, with Lupinus as his assistant.”
Isaac finished speaking and looked at everyone.
“Drakon. I… My abilities …”
“Elliot, no need to be modest. You have the capability,” Isaac gently interrupted him.
Isaac didn’t know what the Emerald Realm looked like, but one thing was certain-it was extremely dangerous inside. He felt most reassured with Lupinus, but Lupinus lacked the qualifications. Hence, Elliot became the next best choice.
“No objections, then the meeting is adjourned. Lucas, the four of you come with me,” Isaac said, standing up and leaving the room.
In the adjacent room, Dragon Soldiers were sitting upright and waiting for Isaac.
When Isaac entered with Lucas and the other three, they immediately stood up.
“Have a seat,” Isaac said quickly after taking the head seat. “Dragon One, choose two more people. Form a team with Lucas and the others, and prepare to enter the Emerald Realm.”
“Only three are going? What about the other six?” Dragon One and the remaining Dragon Soldiers were also puzzled.
Isn’t everyone supposed to go in and protect Isaac?
Isaac shook his head and whispered, “I have other plans for the remaining six.”
At that moment, Isaac’s phone vibrated. Taking a look, favonovel.com saw Allegra’s number on the screen.
“Isaac, when are you coming back?” Allegra’s voice came through.
“What’s going on?”
“We’ve two guests at home. They’re both from Rippan. One is named Duncan Skeet, and the other is Heartless. They claim to be your friends…”
