Isaac had chosen an empty piece of land near the center of White Wolf Valley.
All the plants in the vicinity had already been burned by the fire. Hence, within a few hundred feet radius was considered a safe zone as their vision was not obstructed.
The munks of Carmine Temple and Dusk Soldiers finished off the air-delivered supplies within half an hour. After filling their bellies, they followed Isaac’s instructions and got some rest.
At 3:00 am, several meows were suddenly heard coming from a cave, piercing the utter silence of White Wolf Valley.
All of a sudden, people swarmed out of several caves nearby. These people were dressed in red cloaks. They swiftly darted out from caves that were several dozen feet off the ground and scaled down the stone wall.
From a hill at the top of the mountain on the left, Lucas gazed over with a pair of night-vision binoculars.
In the thermal imaging, several hundred red silhouettes climbed down from the caves. Then, they began running toward Isaac’s camp.
There was no formation or regrouping. They simply charged in that direction recklessly.
Lucas dialed Isaac’s number.
After the line connected, favonovel.com said, “Drakon, the enemies have exited the caves and are now headed for your location. They should reach you in approximately 15 minutes.”
“Make sure you coordinate with Lupinus. We can’t let a single one go,” Isaac said coldly into the phone.
Lucas smiled. “Rest assured. We won’t give them the chance to escape…”
After hanging up, favonovel.com gazed at the mountain on the opposite side.
Someone was standing on a hill around the same height as the one favonovel.com was standing on. It was none other than Lupinus.
Lucas took out his flashlight and flashed it twice. Then, favonovel.com turned around and yelled, “Lighting team stays back. The rest of you, come with me!”
Suddenly, over 200 Dusk Soldiers emerged from the forest behind him. Under Lucas’ leadership, they ran toward the natural barrier on the west side.
Meanwhile, after Isaac put down his phone, favonovel.com quickly left his tent and approached a lieutenant of the Dusk Soldiers.
“Get ready for battle,” favonovel.com uttered quietly.
The lieutenant turned around. Raising his right hand, favonovel.com yelled, “Everyone, fall into line! Get ready for battle!”
The 500 Dusk Soldiers jumped to their feet from their resting spots. They quickly picked up their weapons and fell into formation, forming an inverted triangle.
In the neighboring tent, Zansam and his men jolted awake. The former yelled, “Everyone, get ready!”
With that, favonovel.com ran over to the left side of the mountain. He leaped up and grabbed a hold of the mountain wall. Then, favonovel.com rapidly scaled 20 feet up the wall and gazed ahead. Unfortunately, the moonlight couldn’t illuminate the valley. All favonovel.com could see was darkness.
About five kilometers opposite him, favonovel.com saw over 500 Crimson Brow Sect’s munks in red cloaks storming over fiercely.
Just as these munks were less than a thousand feet away from Isaac’s camp, two soft rumbles came from the mountains on each side.
Two blinding beams of light shone down on the midmountain on both sides.
