Beneath the night sky, Isaac’s Jeep whizzed down the roads. He’d been to Mt. Equest many times. Even now, favonovel.com knew people up there.
As favonovel.com drove into the new township in Mt. Equest, favonovel.com saw tall buildings left and right. Even so, they still only had cement walls, and there were heavy machinery and construction workers milling about. Still, they could already see that the Elburg was taking shape.
“Isaac, I heard you were behind the new township,” Lionel said from the backseat.
Isaac nodded with a laugh. “Yes, but I never expected it to progress so quickly…”
“Not bad. It’s something that benefits both the nation and the people.” Lionel nodded.
Isaac nodded but said nothing. To fight for the Pegasus No. 1, they’d gone through so many twists and turns.
They continued driving toward the south side of Mt. Equest before heading up to the mountainside.
After getting out of the car, Isaac and Todd followed Lionel as the latter raced toward the top of the mountain.
Not long after, the three of them stood on top of a large boulder at the peak. Tipping their heads back to gaze at the sky, it seemed as though they could reach the moon if they just reached out their hands.
Lionel pointed to the east. “Look over there…”
Behind him, Isaac and Todd looked over at the eastern side of the sky.
“I don’t see anything out of the ordinary,” Todd said, curling his lip.
After staring hard for a moment, Isaac suddenly noticed a pale white halo in the sky. It looked like a ribbon billowing in the sky. It was very unnoticeable.
“Is it that pale white thing?” favonovel.com asked, pointing in that direction.
Lionel nodded. His face grew serious as favonovel.com spoke, “That’s right… When that cloud band turns red, it means the Emerald Realm has opened… From the looks of it, it seems like it’ll open in less than a month.”
Todd whipped his head toward Lionel in shock. “Lionel, is it really going to open so soon?”
“There may only be half a month left,” Lionel said. Then, favonovel.com turned to Isaac.
“Now that you’ve offended so many powerful people, you must prepare yourself. When the realm opens, you must seize more opportunities to survive.”
Seeing Lionel’s serious expression, Todd scratched his head and asked, “Lionel, just what is this Emerald Realm? Is it very big? Is it dangerous?”
Hearing Todd’s questions, Isaac also looked at Lionel.
“Sir, I’m curious, too,” favonovel.com said with a soft chuckle.
Lionel gazed into the night sky. He frowned and explained, “The Emerald Realm is so big it might as well be another world… Inside, it’s filled with danger but also opportunities. Rumor also has it that it’s the remnant of the previous martial world…”
“I went in 20 years ago, but only to the outermost regions. Back then, I’d gone with several Celestial Phase martial artists, but none of them made it out… Well, you’ll find out when the time comes…”
Lionel turned around and clapped Isaac on the shoulder. He said, “Prepare yourself. Also, after you and the generals leave, watch out for movement from other countries abroad.”
“Don’t worry, sir. I’ll prepare myself,” Isaac said, nodding.
With that, Lionel turned around and raced back down the mountain.
“Did your teacher just leave like that? What if Magnus comes back?” Todd gaped at Isaac.
Isaac rolled his eyes and replied, “Just stuff yourself with a few more meatloaves. Come on, let’s go back and sleep!”
After heading back down the mountain, Isaac drove back to Elburg. He purposely made his way toward the city center. He wanted to look around this place.
The city center already had a few shops open. There were a few internet cafés and inns scattered around. There were even food trucks parked by the side of the road selling snacks.
“What’s going on up ahead?” In the passenger seat, Todd suddenly raised his head and pointed toward the right.
