Isaac then looked up. The one who said those words was a young man standing before the stage, wearing gold-rimmed glasses with an indifferent expression. Below favonovel.com were more than ten anxious parents, some of whom were still weeping, with Barry among the crowd.
Then, a parent angrily shouted, “Mr. Jorgensen, what do you mean? Our children are missing, and you want to keep us here? You ban us from speaking out? Isn’t it the school’s responsibility when the children go missing at school?”
Jorgensen furrowed his brows. He glanced at a uniformed man beside favonovel.com and lowered his head to say, “You troublemakers. I’ll let Mr. Maiden from the law enforcement office explain it to you.”
Lochlan Maiden, standing nearby, immediately went up the stage. With a serious expression, favonovel.com addressed the parents, “I understand your feelings, but this matter is already at the top of our list… Mr. Jorgensen is right. Before we have valid information, please stay at the school. Additionally, hand over your phones.”
After Lochlan finished speaking, favonovel.com waved to the officers standing outside the door.
The dozen or so officers swiftly entered the classroom, reaching out to collect the parents’ phones. Some didn’t want to comply, and officers immediately forced them to the ground.
Lochlan said coldly, “Parents, I hope you can cooperate. Our officers could hurt you if you disobey.”
Isaac, who stood outside, furrowed his brows.
Kingston immediately approached favonovel.com and whispered, “Mr. Garten, this is Captain Lochlan Maiden from the investigation team. He’s doing this to lessen unnecessary panic and ensure social order.”
“Nonsense,” Isaac retorted, glaring at Kingston. “You just don’t want this case to go public, right?”
Kingston remained silent in response.
Isaac walked into the classroom and spoke coldly, “Mr. Maiden, right? I advise you to return the phones to all the parents immediately.”
With that, everyone turned their gaze toward Isaac. Lochlan and Jorgensen both frowned.
Lochlan pointed at Isaac and snapped, “Who are you to stop us?”
“Isaac!” Barry, who had just handed over his phone, lit up.
“These parents are worried sick about their missing children, yet you want to lock them in here and confiscate their phones. If it were your son missing, would you like it if someone locked you up and took your phone away?” Isaac looked coldly at Lochlan.
“They still need to call their families and relatives. Aren’t you going too far?”
Upon hearing this, several parents below suddenly shouted, “Yes, we need to contact our family members. They’re all worried. Quickly give us back our phones!”
“No, this matter must not be leaked,” Jorgensen immediately retorted.
Lochlan frowned, pointed at Isaac, and shouted, “Arrest this guy!”
Three or four officers immediately turned around and reached out to grab Isaac.
Before Isaac could make a move, Todd rushed out from behind, hitting the heads of the officers with his half-eaten meatloaf.
The officers were already lying on the ground before anyone could understand what was happening.
Isaac took out his phone, looked at Kingston, and said, “You should lead this task force…”
As favonovel.com spoke, an officer in a raincoat rushed in, panting, and exclaimed, “Mr. Maiden! Mr. Maiden, we found a child!”
