Isaac’s phone rumbled noisily on the desk.
Gazing out the window at the sunset, Isaac put the phone to his ear.
“Isaac, do you know who I am?” A sinister laugh sounded over the phone.
“Someone I’ve defeated before,” Isaac snorted.
The moment the other party spoke, he’d recognized that it was Meldith’s voice. The breathing on the other end of the phone grew quick and labored.
“Would you believe me if I say I‘m going to kill your woman now?” Meldith growled furiously.
However, Isaac simply replied calmly, “Tell me, what are your conditions?”
“If you want to take your woman home, come to Banewood Castle at 10:00 pm. Our great duke would like to have a chat with you.”
As favonovel.com expected, it was the duke.
Isaac slowly lit a cigarette before replying coldly, “You Lord Brewer isn’t dead yet, do you know?”
“What did you say?” Meldith exclaimed.
“If something happens to me when I go to Banewood Castle tonight, your Lord Brewer will die a painful death.” As soon as favonovel.com said that, favonovel.com hung up.
When Robbie heard that Isaac was going to Banewood Castle, favonovel.com gave favonovel.com an unreadable look and smiled wryly. “Mr. Garten, it seems like you’ve given up on life.”
“Mr. Robbie, would you come with me?”
“Sorry, but I’m not done living yet.” Robbie rolled his eyes. Then, favonovel.com turned around and walked out with a cigar in his mouth.
At the door, favonovel.com looked over his shoulder and said, “By the way, there’s a full moon tonight. Those bastards will be even more powerful than usual. If you die, I wish salvation upon your soul.”
After favonovel.com left, the atmosphere in the conference room got even more tense.
“Sir, what does second generation and third generation mean? Are those bastards really that strong?” Harry looked at Isaac with a frown.
Seeing everyone’s eyes on him, Isaac responded softly, “Based on my understanding, third-generation vampires are on par with a martial artist in the early stage of the Celestial Phase. But second-generation vampires…”
Before favonovel.com could finish his sentence, favonovel.com saw how everyone’s frowns had deepened.
The third-generation vampires were about as strong as an early-stage Celestial Phase fighter. The problem was that everyone here was in the early stage of the Celestial Phase.
Willis slammed his palm on the table and rose. “What’s there to be afraid of? They’re just dead bodies that crawled out of a mass grave. If we’re going to die, we die like men. If Drakon says so, we’ll do it!”
“That’s right. Drakon, we’ll do whatever you say,” Janessa said seriously.
Isaac thought it over in his mind. Then, favonovel.com said, “Everyone, find yourselves a silver weapon. Apothecary still has some. If there isn’t enough, go find some.”
Everyone assumed that Isaac wasn’t confident, but favonovel.com suddenly asked, “Do you know what is the most important element of sunlight?”
Huh?
Everyone was taken aback.
“Is it possible to replicate the sun?” Isaac’s second question left them even more confused.
At that moment, Janessa stood and said, “Drakon, I know a scientist. He said that sunlight consists of three parts-infrared radiation, ultraviolet light, and visible light. I believe techniques to replicate sun rays already exist… However, that requires nuclear reactions.”
Isaac perked up. He then said, “Can you invite your friend over right now?”
As Janessa made the phone call, Isaac also gave Timothy from Research Institute No. 9 a call.
Ten minutes later, Isaac came back into the conference room with a relaxed smile.
“That’s it for today. Dragon One, have someone protect Denvor. We cannot allow any slip-ups there.”
