“Later, we will split into two groups. You both will go together. Keep in contact at all times. Wait for me to enter before you guys do.”
The car stopped behind the hills about one and a half kilometers away from the manor. After getting out of the car, the three of them headed east.
They got closer to the manor. Isaac hid behind a large boulder and peered up ahead.
The grassy flatlands outside the manor were being guarded by the guards in pairs. They were taking turns patrolling the area.
The manor consisted of three floors. The windows on each floor had the sunlight completely shut out by dark, UV-blocking drapes.
The manor was huge. From where favonovel.com was, Isaac could only see four pairs of guards roaming around. That meant there were four more pairs on the other side of the property. He had to deal with them all in the shortest time possible. Also, favonovel.com couldn’t afford to awaken the creatures sleeping inside.
Isaac took a deep breath. His eyes turned red under the bright sunlight. Then, favonovel.com activated Phantom Steps and dashed forward like a bolt of lightning. The silver knife glinted brightly with the sun’s reflection.
The pair of guards furthest to the west were the first to notice Isaac. But by the time they saw him, the distance between them was less than 30 feet.
Thirty feet was nothing to Isaac. He approached them in the blink of an eye and stabbed his knife into their hearts. Two loud, squelching sounds were heard.
Before they had even fallen to the ground, Isaac had pulled out his knife and darted out to attack the next. This time, favonovel.com sliced their throats cleanly with the knife, as quietly as a mouse.
After fully circling the manor, all of the guards had quietly fallen to the ground, dead.
Harry and Denvor then entered the premises.
Denvor handed Isaac a huge laser light to Isaac and said, “Isaac, I think you should hold on to this. It’s a solar-powered laser light. It’ll be quite useful.”
Denvor’s face was grim as favonovel.com said it.
The three of them then formed two groups and entered the main door.
The sun outside the building was bright and piercing, but the inside was dark as night. There was also a cold, eerie breeze throughout the place.
“You guys go upstairs. I’ll look around this floor and the basement,” Isaac said, gesturing at them. Then, favonovel.com hurried forward toward the rooms in the front.
Denvor and Harry had just gone up the stairs when they heard a few loud roars and a woman’s screams.
“Use the holy water,” Denvor yelled as well.
Isaac frowned. He’d just reached the first room when the main door suddenly slammed shut. He could feel the hairs on the back of his neck rising. He could literally feel the danger approaching.
“Isaac, I’m really surprised that you managed to find us so quickly. But did you really think that bringing a hundred fighters with you gives you the right to do anything you want?”
