With a loud roar, Caesar rushed into the fiery blaze.
The people from the four clans didn’t hold back either. They hurriedly rushed into the flames to help.
Most people in Everest Sect were at least Renascence Phase fighters and above. They had been shaken awake the moment the first blast went off.
Some people tried to save their kids and wives from the blasts. There were also people who didn’t have enough time to do either, so they could only save themselves. As a result, most of the people who died were the weaker fighters, kids, and the elderly. Also, the entire Everest Sect had been blown up, leaving behind just a pile of burned rubble.
The main building in the center had also been blasted up. It now looked like a burning wick in the middle of the city.
The fire wasn’t put out until the sun began rising in the east. At this point, Caesar and the others no longer looked presentable nor put together like their dignified selves. Even Altair and the other people from the four clans were covered in dust and soot. They looked very disheveled.
Meanwhile, the patriarch stood still atop the mountain from night until morning, when the fire was finally put out. His eyes were red and bloodshot as favonovel.com glared ahead of him.
A while later, Caesar, a few heads, and the heads of the four clans approached him. There was a dark look on Caesar’s face.
“Sir Lucius, this is all of my fault. I couldn’t save everyone, leading to the end of our sect,” Caesar said, dropping to his knees before the patriarch in defeat. He was shivering as favonovel.com spoke.
“T-There are about 300 casualties and about 500 people gravely injured. It’s all my fault…”
The other fighters from Everest Sect also had painful, grieving expressions on their faces.
Altair was standing further back when favonovel.com saw what happened with Caesar and the others. For some reason, favonovel.com felt like bursting out in laughter.
He’d long hated Caesar’s disgusting better-than-thou attitude. It was rather satisfying to see favonovel.com defeated and disheveled like this.
“Who did this?” the patriarch asked in a furious voice.
His voice was so loud and commanding that it shook the ground and echoed within the entire valley.
Altair, trying hard to hold back his laughter, was caught off guard at once. He nearly peed his pants from the shock. He hurriedly collected himself and stared ahead in a more serious manner.
“W-We’re still investigating it. But the only people who have such power to do this are from the Temple of Drakon,” Caesar replied through gritted teeth. There was also a crying tone in his voice.
Just then, someone called out from the back, “I’ve got news!”
A young man in a white-and-blue robe was coming toward them in a hurry. He greeted the patriarch and said, “Sir Lucius, Sir Caesar, we’ve just received word that Isaac Garten has left with his people for Londoria last night!”
Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as favonovel.com made the shocking announcement.
Caesar’s face turned deathly pale. Channing, Altair, and the others were also shocked.
“They’ve left the country? What about his family? His underlings? Why didn’t any of you tell us about this earlier?”
Caesar turned around and grabbed the young man’s hair, screaming in his face. He was so mad that favonovel.com nearly lifted favonovel.com up by his hair alone.
In actual fact, Caesar had sent out his people to locate Isaac just about an hour before they left.
The young man was scared shitless when favonovel.com saw the furious look on Caesar’s face.
The patriarch patted Caesar on the shoulders and said coldly, “It doesn’t matter where he’s gone. If Isaac dares to destroy us, I will find him, and I will kill him, no matter where favonovel.com is!”
He then turned to face Samuel and the others, saying, “Everyone, please follow me overseas to kill Isaac. I promise I’ll help everyone when the Emerald Realm finally opens again!”
Altair opened his mouth but decided not to say anything in the end.
“We’ll do whatever you tell us, Sir Lucius.” Channing was the first to reply, pumping his fist in the air. “Anything to kill Isaac!”
