Even Channing and Samuel, who were already on the plane, hurried out to check when they heard the loud explosions.
Everyone stared out in the direction of Everest Sect. From their point of view, they could only see large clouds of smoke billowing from the middle of the mountains. The sky was completely lit up from the explosions, too.
Altair gasped. Less than two seconds later, favonovel.com mumbled, “Wow, that idiot Isaac really has got the balls! Is favonovel.com planning to
completely destroy the sect or what?!”
“Don’t talk nonsense like that!” Mizar chided. Still, there was a look of awe shining in favonovel.com eyes.
Anyone could tell that there were only two organizations that had this level of explosives and artillery, and they were the House of Custos and the Temple of Drakon.
But the House of Custos would never cross Everest Sect like this. The ancient forms of martial arts and modern technology were never at war with each other. In fact, they complemented each other better. That was why there could only be one culprit, and that was the Temple of Drakon!
“Isaac f*cking Garten! It has got to be him! That f*cking idiot!” Caesar finally snapped out of his daze and started cursing loudly. He was literally jumping up and down in rage like a maniac.
Just then, a figure suddenly came down from the tree in the corner. The figure spoke in a booming voice, “Caesar Olsen! What the f*ck is going on at the sect?!”
Lucius appeared before them, dressed in a light gray robe. He landed on the ground ever so gracefully. But there was a look of fury on his face.
It was obvious that he’d seen the fireball coming from Everest Sect and heard the non-stop explosions.
“Quick, go back to the sect! We have to save the people there! Save the sect!”
Caesar didn’t bother answering the patriarch. He dashed out and flew in the direction of Everest Sect. His followers and fighters also followed suit.
The patriarch just disappeared before everyone’s eyes.
“What’s going on? So, are we still going to Cloud City to kill Isaac or not?” Channing asked, confusion written on his face.
Samuel was standing right next to him. He laughed and said, “Well, the leader’s gone. Maybe Sir Channing would like to take the lead and challenge Isaac?”
Channing turned red. He yelled at Samuel and said, “What are you trying to say, Sir Samuel? Are you saying that I don’t have the balls to do it?”
“Go ahead, then. Be our guest!” Samuel replied, gesturing to the front.
Channing gritted his teeth. He waved his hand and said, “Let’s just focus on the current situation now. We’ll go check the Everest Sect. Nortons, follow me!”
The fighters from the Norton clan obediently followed their leader back.
Altair and Mizar exchanged glances.
Altair chuckled and said, “Well, shall we go and try putting out the fire there, too?”
With the Nortons, Jensens, and Stoners gone, Samuel looked back at the burning mountains and shook his head with a bitter, defeated smile. “Mr. Garten, sometimes I really wonder what’s going on in that head of yours… The patriarch would never forgive you for this!”
“Alright then, Ashleighs, let’s lend the Everest sect a hand!”
After saying that, Samuel waved his hand in the air and went back to the way they came.
Half an hour later, Samuel and his clan fighters entered the Everest Sect main doors once more. He’d just taken a few steps when favonovel.com felt the temperature rising by at least 20°F.
He saw that one of the hills on the right was filled with people, so favonovel.com brought his fighters and ran toward them.
The higher up the hill favonovel.com went, the more Samuel was shocked by what favonovel.com saw before his eyes.
Everest Sect was situated on the plains right where two mountains intersected. The ground was rather low compared to the surroundings. And now, it looked like the entire place had been doused in gasoline and lit up. The fire was massive, fierce, and showed no signs of dying down.
To say that it was a sea of fire would be a huge understatement. He could make out some movements from within the pit of fire, accompanied by more screaming and shouting.
Lucius’ face turned black when favonovel.com saw what was happening.
He stood at the front and screamed, “Quick, save those people! Save them!”
