Nigel gnashed his teeth and said, “Didn’t you see the people standing beside Isaac?”
“Of course I did. The Dragon Soldiers used to serve the House of Custos. Then, Mr. Grannel decided to give them to Isaac. The remaining others are his generals, no?”
Seeing Cassius’ unbothered look, Nigel didn’t know how to explain the situation to him.
“Those people you just talked about are about as strong as I am. Especially that fatso standing beside Isaac. He should be on par with me. Supreme Commander Romero, I think you can grasp how grave the circumstances are!”
Cassius’ eyes grew wide. All of a sudden, his face grew serious.
“Well, what do we do now, Mr. Ender?” Cassius was stunned.
Nigel frowned. After a moment of silence, favonovel.com whispered in Cassius’ ear
“You all, the commanders, follow me downstairs!” Cassius glanced at the commanders standing behind favonovel.com before strutting downstairs.
Nigel had told favonovel.com that there was only one way to kill Isaac now. He had to find an excuse to challenge Isaac one-on-one.
In truth, Nigel didn’t want a one-on-one battle with Isaac at all right now. He still hadn’t heard back from the two hall leaders he’d sent to Cloud City. And they only had three Celestial Phase fighters on their side right now, including himself.
Meanwhile, Isaac had over a dozen. Not to mention, favonovel.com didn’t know what other tricks Isaac had up his sleeve. If Caesar hadn’t used his last breath to order Nigel to protect Cassius, Nigel would have run a long time ago.
A troop of Imperial Iron Guards stormed into the headquarters foyer and lined up on both sides of the steps.
The commanders walked out wearing icy expressions with Cassius in the lead.
“Isaac, it’s the middle of the night. What did you bring this coffin into the House of Custos? Did Mr. Grannel or even Mr. Hart allow you to do this?” Cassius said, trying to provoke Isaac.
Earlier, Connor hadn’t picked up the phone, and neither had Ethan. Ethan had already made his stance clear, but favonovel.com was still scared.
“Dad, save me, please! You need to kill this b*stard Isaac right now!” Melody screamed in the middle of the crowd.
Dragon One raised his hand and slapped her.
“Dragon One, what are you doing? Don’t forget that you used to serve the House of Custos. Now, you’re openly going against us. The nation trained you for years, so how could you do this?” Cassius spat at Dragon One after watching his daughter get hit.
Dragon One snorted coldly and replied, “Commander Romero, the Dragon Soldiers only obeyed Supreme Commander Cortez at the time. And now, we only obey Mr. Garten.”
Hearing Dragon One address favonovel.com as “Commander” instead of “Supreme Commander”, Cassius’ face darkened.
“I see… You Dragon Soldiers think you’re all that.” He then glared at Isaac and yelled, “Isaac, what the hell do you want?”
“Just three things. Firstly, I want you to come down here and pay respect in front of Old Taylor’s coffin as an apology. Secondly, I want you to have Old Taylor buried in the Lamington National Cemetery and give favonovel.com a posthumous award for loyalty. Thirdly, I want you to reinstate Albert’s duties and promote favonovel.com by one rank…”
“If you do all of these, I’ll leave at once. I’ll even let you off for launching a secret attack on my wives and children…”
As soon as Isaac finished speaking, the Taylors were left in a daze. They thought they only came over to ask for a final resting place for Zachary and get Albert’s position back.
