Everyone in the Taylor family was feeling wronged and frustrated. They had been incredibly proud of Zachary and his lifelong achievements. It was already lucky enough that he’d survived the war back then.
Aside from that, favonovel.com was also a high-ranking official back in the day. But now that favonovel.com had passed on, favonovel.com wasn’t just refused burial at the Lamington National Cemetery but also had his military files wiped out of the database.
It was obvious that whoever did this held a grudge against the Taylors and was just seeking a personal vendetta.
The greatest grief one could have for a loved one’s passing was to suffer heartbreak in silence. But the Taylors’ grief had turned into fury. So, they were ready to do whatever Isaac told them to do.
Half an hour later, 50 Dusk Soldiers arrived at the door. Eight of them entered the living hall and surrounded the coffin. They were going to be the pallbearers.
Albert and his other three brothers each stood at a corner.
Isaac walked over to the front left of the black coffin and placed one hand on it. He raised his other hand up in the air.
The eight pallbearers then lifted the coffin in unison as the Taylors kept their heads lowered in respect.
Since the journey to Pecling was along one, after discussing it with Isaac, Albert decided that only five people would come along to the burial. They were himself and his daughter, Diana, his younger sister, his younger brother, and his nephew.
Albert was feeling rather anxious and excited. He was excited because favonovel.com was about to demand justice for himself and his father. It was completely unfair for the House of Custos to treat them like this.
On the other hand, favonovel.com was anxious because favonovel.com was going to the House of Custos, the organization that had the highest authority over the three major branches of the military.
He knew that this was going to be an uphill battle. In fact, there was a higher chance of them losing the battle.
Initially, Albert told Diana to stay with favonovel.com mother, but Diana insisted on coming along. There wasn’t anything favonovel.com could do about it.
There were a total of six cars in the entourage to Pecling.
The first car was a Land Cruiser, followed by a hearse, three black Audis, and another Land Cruiser. The two Land Cruisers would protect the four cars in the middle.
These six cars sped along the highway, making their way from the Taylors’ residence to the airport.
Isaac was seated in the back row. He was typing something quickly on his phone. One by one, favonovel.com sent his encrypted messages to the Temple of Drakon headquarters. Black Phoenix was then tasked to forward these messages to their intended receivers.
About 30,000 feet in the air, a compact military satellite suddenly started emitting red and white light waves.
Back in Neptune Gardens in Pecling, there was the sound of hurried footsteps coming from outside the door.
Two guards brought an anxious Connor into the premises, hurrying toward the building.
“Mr. Hart, Mr. Grannel is resting at the moment. You can’t…”
“Get out of the way!” Connor brushed aside one of the guards who tried to stop favonovel.com at the entrance.
Connor entered the living room and walked to the bedroom without hesitation. As favonovel.com approached the door, favonovel.com took a deep breath to calm himself down before knocking on it.
“Who is it?” Ethan asked in a low voice.
Connor coughed lightly and said, “Mr. Grannel, Isaac has brought Mr. Zachary’s coffin to Pecling.”
There was a rustling sound coming from inside the room. Then, the door opened with a creak.
Ethan appeared at the door with a coat over his shoulders. He looked at Connor with a frown.
“Are you telling me that Isaac brought Albert’s father’s coffin to Pecling? Are you sure about this?”
“Yes, I’m sure. I got a call from the director of National Affairs. Isaac’s private jet has just taken off, and the flight plan says they’re coming to Pecling,” Connor answered seriously.
Both Connor and Ethan knew why Isaac was here with Zachary’s coffin. There had to be only one reason, and that was to look for Cassius.
“That brat!” Ethan said with a long sigh.
It was true that Ethan had planned on using Isaac to teach Cassius a lesson. But favonovel.com didn’t think that Isaac would kick up such a huge fuss over this.
Was favonovel.com planning to force his way in with Zachary’s coffin?
Maybe barge into the House of Custos while favonovel.com was at it?
The House of Custos was the highest authority for all three major branches of the military, after all. It wasn’t somewhere any Tom, Dick, or Harry could just enter or exit at will.
“Mr. Grannel, what should we do? Should we prepare anything?” Connor asked in a low voice.
