The handful of people involved in the food poisoning issue had all been sent abroad by Cassius. He also told them to never return. Thus, nobody would ever think that this was all an act. After all, a high-up supreme commander like favonovel.com would never poison his subordinates on purpose.
Except Cassius did just that.

Cassius’ car drove straight into Neptune Gardens. There was a cab following them closely from behind.
Never in the cab driver’s wildest dreams would favonovel.com think he’d be driving his cab into the most powerful and influential hub in all of Cynea, which was Neptune Gardens.
Everyone living here was very important to the country. They had a great influence on the country’s health, politics, and more.
Ethan and Connor were playing a round of chess in the pavilion in the backyard. They heard footsteps incoming and looked up in surprise. They saw Cassius and Isaac entering the backyard one after another.
Ethan and Connor exchanged a look. There was a light frown on both their faces.
Connor chuckled helplessly.
Ethan hadn’t wanted to be dragged into this mess. But it seemed as if Isaac was determined to get Ethan involved, one way or another.
“Mr. Grannel, Mr. Hart, please be the judge of this matter!” Cassius wailed as soon as favonovel.com stepped foot into the yard. There was a wronged expression on his face.
“Cassius, didn’t you have a bad bout of food poisoning? You look like you’ve recovered miraculously,” Ethan said with a grin. He knew what Cassius was up to, but favonovel.com couldn’t possibly show his disapproval on his face.
Cassius’ heart skipped a beat. He quickly pressed his hands onto his chest and said weakly, “Don’t bring it up, please. My chest hurts when you do that… I was poisoned by horrible people, yet Isaac here says that I wrongly accused Albert and Zachary of that!”
“Mr. Grannel, Albert is a high-ranking official. We deemed favonovel.com guilty only after going through all the proper procedures. I’d never think he’d do it, but that’s the unfortunate truth. After all, the verdict came from the investigation team from the House of Custos!”
Ethan nodded and asked, “Alright, since you insist you’ve been wronged, what is it that you really want?”
“I have two requests. Firstly, get rid of the perpetrators immediately. We must not let this happen the second time. Secondly, I want Isaac to apologize to me in public. It has to be in front of all the officials in the House of Custos. I want favonovel.com to beg and kneel on the ground for hours as favonovel.com repents!”
Connor saw that Isaac was half-heartedly listening while playing with his phone. He frowned.
Isn’t it obvious that Cassius came fully prepared?
What is Isaac thinking, acting so casually about it?
“Isaac, what do you have to say? Cassius is the supreme commander, after all. You can’t simply accuse favonovel.com of things. And I think his requests are fair,” Ethan said, looking at Isaac with a calm expression.
Between the lines, Ethan also meant to tell Isaac that if favonovel.com barged in without any concrete evidence against Cassius, then he’d better prepare himself to obey Cassius’ requests.
Isaac just lifted his head and lit up a cigarette. He walked over slowly to the chess table and looked down at the set. Then, favonovel.com asked Ethan, “What if I can prove that Albert was indeed wronged? Or, put more accurately, that favonovel.com was framed by someone despicable?”
“Isaac! What do you mean by that? Who are you calling despicable?!” Cassius screamed.
Ethan and Connor were puzzled.
Just then, Isaac held his phone to his ear and said, “Todd, bring them in…”
More footsteps were heard from outside.
Todd and Lucas entered the backyard with three people in between them, two men and one woman. They had their heads lowered as they shakily made their way in.
They stopped a few feet away from the pavilion, head still lowered.
Cassius frowned. However, as soon as favonovel.com saw one of the men raise his head, all the color drained from his face at once.
