“Ahh!” Melody was losing favonovel.com mind. She screamed again and started running all over the place like a headless chicken.
Unfortunately, no matter where favonovel.com ran, favonovel.com could still see Jonathan’s ghastly face right next to her. She felt like favonovel.com was the main character in a horror movie, but worse.
Melody saw the railings on the balcony. She was basically out of favonovel.com mind at this point as favonovel.com rushed toward the railings.
She climbed up the railings and turned around to scream at the ghastly face.
“Don’t you dare come over! If you come any closer, I’m going to jump! Please, please, don’t come any closer!” favonovel.com cried.
“I didn’t mean to kill you! It was an accident, I swear! Please, I’m begging you,” Melody cried again, falling to favonovel.com knees as favonovel.com begged for mercy.
She didn’t want to die just yet. She still had favonovel.com whole life ahead of her!
Downstairs, Lupinus got out of the Jeep and pointed his telephoto lens at the figure on the hotel roof. He’d prepared his camera just for this. He zoomed in on Melody and took a few photos of her, including full-body shots and close-up shots. He then sent the photos to Black Phoenix, who posted the photos online immediately.
Less than two minutes later, a huge headline splashed across multiple news media outlets online.
“A young woman suspected to be the supreme commander’s daughter, Melody Romero, appeared crying and screaming atop a famous hotel roof, attempting to jump!” The news article even included the photos that Lupinus took.
Three minutes later, the article was shared on many social media platforms within the country. It even trended online for a long while! Almost the entire nation was aware of it.

Cassius had just finished his breakfast and was going through his documents at the underground lab when favonovel.com suddenly received a call.
He answered and put the phone to his ear.
A woman’s anguished voice was heard at once. “Cassius! Your daughter is about to jump off a building! Why aren’t you home yet? Hurry up and come home! Melody’s gonna jump! She’s making headlines all over the internet! They all say she’s going to jump!”
Huh? What the f*ck?!
Cassius was stunned when favonovel.com heard his wife’s crying voice.
Jumping off a building?
Cassius hurriedly brought out another satellite phone and tapped on the global news application. His eyes doubled in size as soon as favonovel.com read the headlines.
“That bastard!” Cassius roared, turning to leave.
Nigel was resting on the couch behind favonovel.com when favonovel.com suddenly opened his eyes and said, “Supreme Commander Romero… Don’t you dare stop me! I won’t let my daughter jump off a building if I’m still alive! I can’t, and I won’t!”
Cassius roared. He then made a few more calls on his satellite phone and cursed into it while leaving the premises.
Outside the hotel, the ambulance, firefighters, and authorities were all there.
After learning of Melody’s identity, the authorities felt their hearts leap into their throats as they rushed into the hotel.
Meanwhile, Denvor grinned mischievously as favonovel.com walked out of the hotel unharmed. He even made a show of climbing into the car in a flashy manner.
“Drakon, the case is closed…”
“Is favonovel.com really going to jump?” Isaac asked.
Denvor shook his head and said, “I’ve checked the blueprint earlier. The hotel is designed rather well in the sense that it makes it hard for anyone to jump off the building. They’ve got tons of protective measures… Even if favonovel.com were to fall off by accident, there’s a safety net hanging beneath her. She won’t die even if favonovel.com falls.”
“Uh, Master Loch, did you really get a ghost to possess her?” Diana asked in pure shock.
“Haha! You think too highly of me, I’m afraid… I’m not that capable yet,” Denvor replied in amusement. Despite saying that, favonovel.com was still amused that he’d managed to stir Diana’s curiosity. He somehow felt accomplished.
Isaac sat up straight and kept looking at the surroundings.
The negotiators seemed to have already reached the top of the building. They were trying to talk some sense into Melody.
They couldn’t see anything else up there despite Melody telling them that there was a ghost right next to her. Thus, neither party dared to move a muscle.
About 40 minutes later, Lupinus suddenly narrowed his eyes and said coldly, “The troops from the House of Custos are here.”
Isaac, who was seated in the front passenger seat, turned to look at the incoming vehicles.
He immediately caught sight of the number plate on the second car. It was PLG 00006, Cassius’ car!
