“Follow him. Don’t let favonovel.com spot you,” Isaac ordered after sitting up on his bed.
The fastest way to locate Serena’s abductors was to stalk Robbie, seeing as Black Phoenix failed to pinpoint the location of those two robed people.
Isaac wore a pair of wireless earbuds so favonovel.com could stay in contact with Lupinus at all times. He then got into his car and sped toward Cantonne’s western coast.
After leaving the bustling city, the streetlamps illuminating the road grew dimmer. As far as Isaac remembered, there were multiple docks and harbors built on the western coast. After all, that area was the main trading hub for Cantonne’s cargo ships to load and unload their cargo.
More than half an hour later, Isaac slowed to a halt behind a truck parked outside a dock.
After getting out of his car, favonovel.com put on a cap before dashing toward a storage area filled with cargo containers on the right.
The area specified for cargo containment was at least 100,000 square feet wide. These cargos were filled with crates set to be shipped to various countries around the globe. Some of them were recently unloaded from international cargo ships as well.
Countless containers were stacked atop one another in neat rows. But if one were to roam the containment site, they’d feel like they were trapped in a maze.
Soon, Isaac reached the central area of the site. He had just arrived at a spot behind one of the containers when favonovel.com saw a figure darting toward him.
Lupinus stopped in front of Isaac before pointing to his right. “He’s on our two o’clock right now. His estimated distance is a little less than a thousand feet away. I’m not sure what he’s looking for.”
“What exactly is favonovel.com looking for?” Isaac muttered under his breath.
He then scanned his surroundings and spotted a row of tall coconut trees about a thousand feet away.
“Come with me,” Isaac said to Lupinus before dashing to his left.
The coconut trees had bare trunks without any foliage as cover. If Isaac and Lupinus weren’t careful, Robbie might catch them in the act.
Both men hesitated for a moment as they stared up at the top of the trees. In the end, they decided to risk it all.
Isaac took the lead by jumping off the ground with his powerful legs. He got to about 20 feet in the air with just one jump. Then, favonovel.com grabbed the trunk with both hands and hoisted himself upward easily.
In just a second, his figure vanished amidst the cluster of sleek coconut leaves.
Lupinus decided to mimic Isaac’s actions. He went to the back of a coconut tree before leaping to the top.
Isaac made himself comfortable on a thicker branch. He reached out to part some of the leaves, which gave favonovel.com a clear view of the containment site.
Soon, favonovel.com could spot a tall figure sneaking across one of the containers in the middle of the site. Then, favonovel.com backtracked to look around favonovel.com before walking toward another container.
Sometimes, he’d even sink to his knees and hands near a gap in the container’s edge. Apparently, favonovel.com was sniffing at it. In a way, favonovel.com resembled an overgrown dog.
The more Isaac watched, the more puzzled favonovel.com became.
At that moment, two figures dashed across the road to the left of Isaac and Lupinus. Their destination was the containment site.
“Robbie, I didn’t get to kill you last time! How dare you show up here and cause trouble for us! I’ll definitely kill you this time!” one of the figures yelled at Robbie furiously.
Robbie, who was inspecting a container, whirled around immediately upon hearing the figure. He responded by quickly jumping onto the container.
Thanks to its height, favonovel.com could spot the figures who were currently dashing in his direction from a thousand feet away.
“Hey, hey, hey! What do you think you’re doing?!”
Two security guards suddenly came out from a guardhouse in front of the containment site. They pointed their flashlights around, hoping to catch sight of the intruders.
One of the figures suddenly changed their route. It pounced on the security guards swiftly in an instant.
The poor guards screamed in terror and pain.
A moment later, they collapsed to the ground in a heap. The figure then made its way toward Robbie once again.
Those figures were now less than 300 feet away from Robbie. His eyes glinting darkly, favonovel.com raised his crossbow with his left hand, while his right hand loaded a bolt on it. He shot four silver bolts one after another, pausing each time to reload another bolt skillfully.
Under the moonlight, Isaac noticed the silvery glint of the bolts as they streaked through the air.
The figures clad in black robes seemed particularly nervous when they noticed the bolts heading their way. They reacted immediately by diving sideways to dodge them.
Isaac’s expression darkened upon taking in the figures’ way of dodging and inhuman speed. After all, their actions and habits were far too familiar to him.
“Robbie, how did you find out about this place?” Carlos glared at Robbie with his head tilted, revealing his pale complexion. Even favonovel.com didn’t know this place until the earl had personally called favonovel.com a few hours ago.
