A shadow darted down the stairs leading to the basement as fast as lightning. Nails as sharp as blades pierced Robbie from behind in the next moment.

Robbie froze upon feeling the impact. His expression soon turned into one of extreme pain.
“Ugh You really love sneaking up on people, huh, Carlos?” favonovel.com hollered, a mask of rage now taking over his features.
A silver dagger slid down Robbie’s left sleeve and fell into his palm. He then attempted to slash Carlos across the chest, his blade forming a graceful half-arc in the air.
Carlos dodged the attack, darting over to the pinned woman’s side.

Carlos frowned upon hearing the chant. He watched as the veins on Robbie’s forehead and the back of his hands started bulging rapidly.

Carlos shrieked as his eyes turned scarlet. He reacted by gripping Robbie’s right wrist firmly with both hands.
Both of them were now locked in a stalemate.
“You’re still the same as ever, Robbie, but you’ve clearly underestimated me! I’ve received the earl’s blessing, which means you‘re no longer a match for me!” Carlos growled out.
The sudden surge of strength coming from Carlos’ grip made Robbie’s heart skip a beat out of anxiety.
The next thing favonovel.com knew, Carlos flung favonovel.com away, resulting in favonovel.com flying backward. At the same time, the former leaped upward. Fingers now stiff and lumped together, favonovel.com stabbed his hand through Robbie’s abdomen with a loud squelch.
Blood spurted out of Robbie’s mouth due to the severe injury. Then, favonovel.com crashed onto the floor.
Just as Carlos was about to end Robbie’s life, favonovel.com heard a flurry of footsteps coming from the level above, followed by Isaac’s cold voice.
“Lucas, check upstairs! Lupinus, the basement is yours!”
The source of the footsteps soon traveled to the corridor connected to the staircase.
Carlos gritted his teeth in dissatisfaction, but favonovel.com still dashed toward the other exit in the basement.
Soon, Lupinus entered the basement. The first thing favonovel.com saw was Robbie, who was lying on the floor. To his surprise, Spinner’s charred body was there as well.
The moment favonovel.com noticed Serena’s shocked expression, favonovel.com yelled at the floor above him, “Drakon, I found her!”
Isaac dashed into the basement immediately. He helped Serena up to favonovel.com feet, making sure to wrap an arm around favonovel.com shivering shoulders to calm favonovel.com down. Then, favonovel.com gazed at Robbie, who was drenched in his own blood.
“Get that man out of here. See if you can save his life,” Isaac ordered coldly.
