The man reached out and gently caressed Spinner‘s cheek. His lips curled into a smile, revealing two pearly white teeth. He looked extra spooky under the dim light.
“No, no, no! Why would you lump me together with that bastard? I’m here to save you. I can make you stronger so you can get your revenge. Don’t you want that instead?”
Spinner nodded at once when favonovel.com heard that. Hatred flashed in his eyes. “I do, I do! I want that!”
“Aww, such an obedient little boy. Well, if you want that, you’ll have to call me Father…” the man replied with a grin. Then, favonovel.com looked at the other man behind him.
Spinner was shocked.
I have to call favonovel.com “Father”?
But then, Spinner hastily remembered that this man had saved favonovel.com from Isaac. So, there had to be some truth in his words.
Spinner shakily called favonovel.com “Father”.
The black-robed man then gently lifted Spinner’s head by the chin. Spinner could feel his neck being stretched out. Suddenly, there was a sharp pain on the right side of his neck.
He started to struggle. But two arms held favonovel.com back with the strength of a mountain. The pain spread all over his body. Spinner could feel his stomach doing the somersaults as well.
He let out a blood-curdling cry and slumped over in a dead faint.

By the time Isaac returned to Cantonne, it was already nighttime.
There had been an emergency meeting held that night at Cantonne Convention Center. Because the governor had been assassinated, the law stated that they needed to pick the next governor immediately. Besides Mario, there had been two other candidates for the governor position. However, they had both gotten into a fatal accident that same afternoon.
That was how Mario rose through the ranks to become the next governor of Cantonne without competition.
People speculated that the deaths of the two candidates were related to Mario’s election as the governor. But there was no proof. Also, Mario was already officially appointed as the new governor. There was nothing these people could do but accept it and become Mario’s cronies instead.
At Marina Hotel, Isaac was just done showering. He had planned to rest for a while when the doorbell rang.
It was Nick. He had an anxious look on his face.
“Mr. Garten, I’m really sorry to disturb you so late at night,” favonovel.com started, looking apologetic.
“Come on in. Don’t worry about it,” Isaac answered with a chuckle while gesturing to favonovel.com to enter.
After entering the room, Nick frowned and ranted, “I went to Cantonne Paragon to apply for the permits today and got their director. I told them I would rent their space for ten million dollars…”
“They threw me out instead! They told me they’d never allow anyone to hold a concert there because it was the governor’s sacred space. They said we were breaking their rules and that we’d tarnish their reputation…”
Isaac was stunned. He lit up a cigarette and chuckled, saying, “Didn’t you go looking for Mario?”
“I did try to reach out to him, but I couldn’t get him. I heard that there was some stiff competition. I’m afraid Mr. Storm wouldn’t have the time to settle our problem as well,” Nick said with a sigh.
Isaac frowned slightly. Nick wasn’t wrong. After all, this was a huge political incident that would take a few days to settle. But they also couldn‘t just leave Serena’s concert hanging like that. If they waited too long, the fans who had been unjustly chased out would choose to go home.
They wouldn’t be able to stay in Cantonne for an extended time. Everything here cost money.
“Bring me to the office tomorrow morning. We need to settle this as quickly as possible,” Isaac answered in a low voice.

Early the next morning, Isaac and Nick headed out to the Cantonne Para gon’s administration office.
The Governor‘s Palace was located by the bay with a forest in the back. Located in the frontmost area was Cantonne Paragon. It took up approximately 200,000 square feet of space.
