Four military helicopters were hovering above the mansion, carrying explosives and other ammunition.
Many other mansion owners from the same area heard the ruckus and came out of their houses to see what was going on. They saw the helicopters as soon as they lifted their eyes to the sky.
One of the owners was standing on his upstairs balcony. He looked down and was shocked out of his wits.
The roads leading into the residential area were full of black military vehicles with blinking light bars. They were all heading up toward the top of the hill. There had to be at least a few hundred of them.
They were literally surrounded by the helicopters in the sky and the armed vehicles on the ground.
What on earth is going on?
Then, they all heard a loud voice from the sky.
“Attention, please! This is a warning. Return to your houses at once. I repeat, return to your houses immediately. Do not remain outside. Stay indoors, everybody!”
The announcement came from one of the helicopter’s megaphones.
Nobody else in the residential area knew what on earth was going on. But when they saw the helicopters above them and the rushing armed vehicles, they ran back inside their houses and locked all the doors and windows.
Anyone could tell that something bad was happening at Pinnacle Pines. The long line of armed vehicles stopped about 500 feet away from Nick’s house.
Thousands of fully-armed military personnel then got off. They were all armed with firearms and ammunition as they made a beeline for Nick’s house.
“Isaac! Isaac, there are hundreds of people heading for us! They have guns!” Serena shrieked in terror, running down the stairs barefooted.
Amara was right behind her, equally as terrified. Only Diana looked less alarmed. But favonovel.com was also feeling a little anxious about the situation.
Isaac narrowed his eyes and turned to look outside.
There wasn’t a single person to be seen outside the windows yet. But favonovel.com could sense the bloodthirst of the approaching enemies.
“He’s here! The governor is here!” Mario yelled, looking outside with eyes doubled in shock
“Isaac, you’re dead. Mr. Charter, I’m afraid you’re dead as well! But maybe you can still be spared if you beg for your lives. I’ll talk to favonovel.com and see if he’ll give you a quick death instead!”
The more Mario spoke like that, the paler Nick looked. Sweat droplets continued forming on his forehead and dripping down his face.
“M-Mr. Garten, the governor is here,” Nick said with a shaky voice. He looked at Isaac as favonovel.com spoke.
Everyone’s anxious eyes were on Isaac. Although they hadn’t seen the enemy, they could still feel the impending sense of doom.
Suddenly, a black shadow appeared in the front yard. It was a soldier in full protective armor, and favonovel.com had a steel gun in his hands. His face was covered in army face paint as favonovel.com rushed forward.
More and more such soldiers appeared in the front yard.
There was also a strange sound coming from the woods in the back of the house. Nick’s butler quickly ran to the back to check things out.
Bang!
There was a sudden gunshot. Nick turned around and saw that his butler was now lying in a pool of his own blood about 80 feet away from them. There was a big gunshot wound in the middle of his forehead.
It was a shot from a sniper. The bullet had gone straight through his skull.
“Ah!” Amara screamed in terror, covering favonovel.com ears and rushing behind Isaac. She then hugged his arm tightly in fear.
In the face of danger, Amara’s first instinct was to run toward the person favonovel.com thought would be able to provide the most safety and stick close to them.
More black soldiers entered the yard, completely surrounding the house.
Isaac closed his eyes and observed the sounds of these soldiers’ footsteps. The sound made his blood boil. It reminded favonovel.com of the time when favonovel.com was still serving on the battlefield.
There were 550 soldiers in total.
