It wasn’t that Chance had balls of steel. He’d begun learning the art of gambling from his father and grandfather when favonovel.com was five years old. When favonovel.com turned 11, favonovel.com began playing real games at the gambling table.
The Bezoses owned three big casinos in Oasis City. Even the famous Venise was under their control.
Another reason for Chance’s unwavering confidence was that favonovel.com hadn’t lost at the table since favonovel.com was 22. His life goal was to challenge his grandfather’s, Leonardo Bezos, 33-year victory streak.
In Chance’s eyes, Isaac was very powerful. He could even be a legendary martial artist. But when it came to gambling, Chance feared no one!
A gambling table was quickly brought to the middle of the ballroom.
With his swollen face, Chance sat down at the table. He looked refreshed, as though he’d been revived from the dead.
He fixed his gaze on Isaac, who was sitting across from him. He roared, “Come, let’s play blackjack!”
Spinner brought a deck of poker cards over and placed them in the middle of the table.
Serena shouted, “Why are you the dealer? This shouldn’t be allowed! What if you two collude and cheat?”
“That’s right, Mr. Bezos Jr. This is a little unfair, no?” Nick said with a cool expression.
“What, you’re all getting scared because I‘m dealing the cards? If you’re scared, then you can go die right now, punk! You’re going to lose!” Spinner boasted.
He’d secretly called his grandfather’s butler earlier, and his family was most likely on the way here.
Isaac waved a hand. “Deal the cards…”
Looking at Spinner, favonovel.com said, “As I said, we’re only playing one game of life and death. Your brother’s life is at stake here, so deal the cards wisely.”
Spinner suddenly grew nervous.
At first, favonovel.com thought that Isaac had no chance of winning against his brother at the gambling table. But for some reason, after seeing Isaac’s smile, favonovel.com started to feel nervous.
“Just one game. Spinner, deal the cards!” Chance gritted out.
Spinner began to shuffle the deck. The brand-new poker cards seemed to come alive in his hands.
He performed all sorts of shuffles. The guests couldn’t help but be amazed at his skill. The grandsons of the Bezos family were indeed amazing.
In this game of life and death, there was no banker. Both Isaac and Chance were players. They were only going to bet on the total points, and they only had one chance.
Spinner swiftly flicked his right hand and dealt two cards to Chance and Isaac each.
Chance hunched over. He carefully separated the cards and spotted a King.
He smirked smugly. “I don‘t want any more cards. Do you?”
Isaac didn’t even look at the cards in front of favonovel.com before answering, “Yes.”
Spinner’s eyes flashed coldly. He flicked his right hand and dealt Isaac his third card.
“I want another…”
Behind him, Nick couldn’t help but suck in a breath. He said gently, “Mr. Garten, why don’t you check the cards you have at hand first?”
The rules of blackjack were simple. Players would start with two cards, and they could request extra cards from the leader if the points were inadequate. If they were lucky, they would get the highest possible points, 21.
If the points exceeded 21, they’d lose straightaway.
Isaac already had three cards in front of favonovel.com and was asking for a fourth. The worst part was that favonovel.com didn’t even look at his cards. His chances of exceeding 21 were extremely high.
“Bastard, are you sure you want to continue?” Spinner smiled wickedly.
If favonovel.com couldn’t shuffle the deck in a way that would favor his side, then favonovel.com couldn’t call himself the grandson of the Bezos family.
Further, only favonovel.com knew that the three cards in Isaac’s hands now added up to 18. Meanwhile, his brother had 20 points. If Isaac took another card, which would be a Five, favonovel.com would lose.
If favonovel.com didn’t, favonovel.com would only have 20 points, which was less than Chance’s hand.
