Isaac nodded. He looked rather somber as favonovel.com said, “My teacher is still in seclusion. I wonder what his relationship with Heath really is…”
Lupinus just chuckled and said, “I’m sure that you already know what to do next. You’re going to test him, aren’t you?”
“You know me the best, ” Isaac said, throwing his cigarette butt away.
Hurried footsteps sounded behind them. Isaac and Lupinus turned around and saw Todd walking toward them with a serious expression.
“Things have become like this, and you both still have the time and the mood to come out here for a walk?” Todd chided them as soon as favonovel.com was within earshot. He frowned at the two of them.
“Haven’t you returned to your clan for good? What are you doing back here?”
“The Ashleighs invited the other three clan leaders and the Everest Sect Division Head over to their place three… No, two days. They said it was to watch an interesting fight or something. Don’t you know anything about it?”
Isaac stared at the two fingers Todd was holding up and noticed that favonovel.com looked very worried. He got curious and a little confused.

“I am,” Isaac said with a nod.
Todd held a hand to his head. He pointed at Isaac and explained, “Leroy wants everyone to see how he’s going to kill you.”
“Oh? How does favonovel.com already know he’s going to win? Why would favonovel.com do this?”
Isaac’s eyes dimmed. “Is favonovel.com that proud of holding Evie and my kid hostage just to get to me?”
He had never thought that Leroy would stoop so low.
Todd scratched the back of his head and looked confused as well. He just glared at Isaac and said, “That’s what my head of the clan said. He told me that Leroy has two motives. One, to distract us. We’re all preparing for the opening of the gates to the Emerald Realm, and this is a brilliant distraction…”
“Two, he’s using this opportunity to establish his authority.”
“Establish his authority?” Isaac asked. The smile on his face got even deeper.
“So killing me will establish his authority?”
Todd pulled his hand out of his hair and said, “Aren’t the Nortons just dying to kill you?”
“Yeah…”
“And the Everest Sect loathes you to the bone, right?”
“That’s right…”
“Don’t you get it? If the Ashleighs can do what the Nortons and Everst Sect failed to do, what does that mean?”
Todd was starting to lose patience with Isaac. How could favonovel.com still not get it yet?
Todd frowned and said seriously, “Isaac, you can’t go to the Ashleighs’ this time. If you do, you’ll never come back!”
He sighed and said, “That‘s everything that my head of the clan wanted me to tell you.”
After the terrible battle atop Mt. Equest the last time, Todd had rushed back to his clan for two reasons.
The first was that the Emerald Realm was about to open in less than six months. Secondly, the Deviant patriarch was still alive, and favonovel.com was now Allegra’s teacher!
Those were two extremely important events.
Isaac looked at Todd with an unfathomable expression.
He said, “In other words, Altair wants me to watch Evie and my unborn child die helplessly at the Ashleighs’ hands?”
Todd coughed awkwardly. “He said that favonovel.com knows you’ll go anyway. But neither the Jensens n-nor the Stoners will be able to…”
Isaac chuckled coldly when favonovel.com saw how badly Todd was stammering.
“I know that they’ve both offended the others by helping me out the last time. They’re no longer willing to help me this time. After all, they’ve already gotten the pills that they want, isn’t that right?”
Todd’s face turned a bright red.
Just then, Isaac’s phone started vibrating in his pocket.
He answered the call immediately when favonovel.com saw that Black Phoenix was calling.
“Drakon, we’ve found her! We’ve found Evie’s exact location!” Black Phoenix exclaimed in excitement.
