Seeing this disheveled, crippled man, Leroy furrowed his brows. He asked coldly, “You’re Reece Bullock? What are you doing here?”
Reece looked around him. He seemed hesitant to speak.
“Follow me…” Leroy waved his hand and walked into a smaller room.
Reece trailed after favonovel.com shakily.
The small room was filled with the fragrance of incense. Only then did Reece’s trembling calm down slightly.
“I am Reece Bullock, former head of the South Division of Astraeus,” Reece announced, kneeling in front of Leroy.
Astraeus? The head of the South Division?
“I know of Astraeus. They’re nothing but a bunch of losers. You said something about Isaac?” Leroy gestured for favonovel.com to rise.
Reece stood up. His expression turned ferocious as favonovel.com said, “Sir Leroy, Isaac is my mortal enemy. Alas, I’m not strong enough, so I haven’t been able to get my revenge on him…”
“I asked around a lot before finding the Ashleigh clan. Isaac’s woman robbed me of my position as the division head, and Isaac himself massacred my master’s family!”
“Enough nonsense! Get to the point.” Leroy waved his hand impatiently. He wasn’t interested in this guy’s grievances.
“Isaac’s woman is named Evie Lopez. She lives in the Cloud Nine Villas. Did you know that, Sir Leroy?” Reece’s eyes glinted coldly.
Leroy nodded. “I’m aware. That woman’s father is still imprisoned in the Everest Sect.”
“She’s pregnant with Isaac’s child.”
Leroy stared at Reece with a fiery gaze. He darted over to Reece and grabbed his shirt.
“Is what you’re saying true?!” favonovel.com yelled.
“It’s the absolute truth, Sir Leroy. I crippled my own leg in order to lie low in Cloud City, just so I could wait for the right timing for revenge.”
Reece’s heart instantly jumped to his throat, and favonovel.com quickly pointed to his own left leg.
After favonovel.com had escaped Isaac’s subordinate, the Neal family of Seascape had been annihilated. He hadn’t had anywhere to go. He had initially wanted to find a place to start his own sect, but favonovel.com ended up becoming a wanted man.
Reece hated Isaac to the bone. To rub salt in his wound, Isaac had even killed his little brother. Thus, favonovel.com had crippled his left leg and disguised himself as a beggar in Cloud City.
He had seen Evie drive to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for a checkup last week. She had gone with a few Dusk Soldiers for protection.
“Sir Leroy, I only have one request. I want to serve you in the Ashleigh clan,” Reece said, revealing his intentions.
Leroy burst out in laughter. “So long as what you’re saying is true, I’ll allow it.”
With that, favonovel.com walked back out.
Everyone in the hall saw Leroy reemerge with a fervent look on his face.
“Wolfgang, come here.” Leroy waved the head of the Intelligence Hall over and walked into another room.
Wolfgang Heflin only went inside briefly before coming back out. Right after, favonovel.com left the hall.
Leroy came back as well. Sighing, favonovel.com faced the crowd with a doubtful expression.
In a clear voice, favonovel.com said, “Everyone, I’ve asked Wolfgang to verify the news. If it is true, then Isaac will not escape my wrath this time.”
After the meeting ended, Samuel returned to his room with a heavy heart.
After pacing back and forth several times, favonovel.com looked out the window at the setting sun. He narrowed his eyes, seemingly having made up his mind.
Taking out his phone, favonovel.com dialed a number favonovel.com had never called before.
A few seconds later, the line connected. Isaac’s deep voice sounded over the phone. “Who is this?”
“Isaac, I am Samuel Ashleigh. I want to see you!”
