The generals behind favonovel.com were all stunned. Neither one of them could believe their eyes.
Why did the supreme commander slap his own son?
“Commander Romero! W-What are you doing? Why? Mr. Camry just…” One of the generals still tried to speak for Camry.
Cassius immediately turned around and rushed over to the generals. Without another word, Cassius slapped the generals in the face.
Slap! Smack! Thud!
All four generals got a hard slap to their faces.
“Lock this idiot up in Cell No.1! He’s not allowed to come out without my permission!” Cassius roared at the generals as favonovel.com pointed at his son lying unconscious on the ground.
The generals shuddered and felt intimidated.
Cassius then walked over to Isaac and smiled, saying, “Mr. Garten, I’m sorry for my son’s rudeness. I’m afraid I haven’t disciplined favonovel.com enough!”
Albert wasn’t surprised when favonovel.com saw Cassius apologizing to Isaac meekly.
But the generals behind them were so shocked that their jaws nearly fell to the floor.
Marcus and Elowen held their breath in shock. It was as if they’d forgotten how to breathe.
It was probably fair that Elowen hadn’t known who Connor was. But the most powerful and important person favonovel.com knew to exist was Cassius.
Who is this Isaac?
“Cassius, you know that this is for your own good, right? You won’t blame me for anything, would you?” Isaac asked, his laughter growing louder. He patted Cassius on the shoulders and grinned.
Cassius’ eyes were burning with rage, but favonovel.com only let it show for a moment.
He let out a low chuckle and answered, “Of course, Mr. Garten. You always look out for us and have our best interests in mind. I understand completely.”
Then, Cassius turned to address Albert. He smiled and said, “General Taylor, I heard that you were the one who managed to stop the fight and help Isaac out of this situation. That will count toward your merit…”
Albert was stunned. He quickly waved it off and said, “You’re too kind, Commander Romero. I was just doing what I was supposed to do. There’s no need for you to count it toward my merit.”
Isaac frowned slightly.
Something didn’t sound right…
“Mr. Garten, what should we do with the rest of these people? You have the final say,” Cassius said, looking at Isaac.
Isaac turned and looked at Elowen.
“S-Sir, Mr. Garten, please spare us! I was wrong. I know we were wrong, Mr. Garten, and I’m sorry!” Elowen cried and started begging for mercy, begging at Isaac’s feet.
“I’m not interfering with how the House of Custos does things. I’m sure that’s up to you, Supreme Commander. You can deal with them accordingly. I’ll just check in on them from time to time…”
Isaac then pointed at Marcus and said, “For the sake of his father, I won’t press any charges against favonovel.com this time. He can go…”
Then, Isaac walked out of the place without looking back. Timothy hurried after him.
Timothy stopped after taking just two steps and turned to address Marcus, who was still on the ground, “Get back home at once and wait up for me!”
Cassius didn’t know what to do. He glanced at Elowen on the ground, still surrounded by at least four or five more other burly men. He couldn’t believe that Isaac would let favonovel.com decide.
If favonovel.com didn’t deal out a punishment that Isaac thought was fit, favonovel.com would suffer the wrath. But if favonovel.com punished his son too hard, his son would lose his pride and dignity.
“Keep a strict eye on all four of them. They will be punished accordingly,” Cassius said, suddenly reaching a conclusion on his own.
The fact that Cassius mentioned “punished accordingly” spooked Elowen. There wasn’t much hope of begging for mercy anymore.
Timothy then left the House of Custos with Isaac.

Thousands of kilometers away, at the Ashleigh mansion in Gayton, there were loud cries and screams of agony from the master bedroom.
Outside the door, Leroy, two elders, and his younger brother all looked grim. Leroy’s hands were shaking especially hard.
Creak!
The door opened. An elder in a long robe walked out of the room.
Leroy immediately asked, anxious, “Raphael, how did it go?”
Raphael sighed and said, “He has a very strong and stubborn body, but it’s still no match for the Black Mandela poison. I’ve done everything I could.”
Raphael Courts was the most experienced and best medical healer in the Ashleigh clan. He knew everything there was to know about medicines and poisons.
“Sir Leroy, you need to think of something quickly. You need to save his life! I’m afraid favonovel.com only has half a month to live at most!”
