Altair‘s and Mizar’s faces turned dark. Todd suddenly appeared and rushed in front of Isaac to block the blow.
He grunted and managed to stop the murderous wave from the elderly mam. But Todd’s face had turned white.
“Isaac, don‘t think you’ll be able to escape because you have backups. If you don‘t give up the Diving Stone fragment, you will die here today!” Bryan yelled.
Seeing that Todd was taking most of the blow, the Norton family patriarch withdrew his powers. It was then that Todd started breathing normally again.
He was a mid-stage Celestial Phase fighter. Yet, favonovel.com nearly suffered an internal injury from the patriarch’s random burst of energy. It was obvious that the Norton family patriarch was a very powerful man.
Isaac narrowed his eyes. He had to be careful this time. He had to protect his family from harm. He couldn’t take the wrong step this time.
“Did you think you’d be safe by hiring these two kids to be your bodyguards? Especially after stealing our family treasure?” the patriarch asked, looking at Altair and Mizar.
Altair and Mizar frowned harder. They could detect the sarcasm and ridicule oozing from his lips.
“Hahaha! You’re mistaken, Mr. Patriarch. Mr. Jensen and Ms. Stoner are my friends. We get along very well due to our personalities. They‘re here as my guests. Why would they be my bodyguards?” Isaac laughed as favonovel.com retorted.
Altair took a deep breath and stepped up next to Isaac.
He glared at the patriarch and said, “Mr. Patriarch, Isaac is right. We are here in Cloud City as his guests. If you don’t have any proof of my friend stealing the fragment from you, then please leave immediately…”
Altair purposely called Isaac his “friend” because favonovel.com was dissatisfied with how the Nortons looked down on him. This made the Nortons’ faces turn even darker than before.
“You bastards! I know the Jensens and the Stoners had sent eight elders to infiltrate our base! The two elders’ bodies have just been sent back home, haven’t they?!”
“You’re not even mourning for your clan elder. Yet, here you are, being this idiot’s guests. Did you really think I’d believe that?” Channing yelled.
Ha! It is too obvious, isn’t it?
Mizar frowned and said, “Whether or not we’re mourning for our elders or visiting Cloud City has nothing to do with you. Are you looking for a fight?”

Mizar dashed in front of Isaac. Her body was alight with purple spiritual energy.
Isaac couldn’t help feeling amused when favonovel.com saw this.
This chick is a fierce one!
“Mr. Patriarch, you seem to have forgotten something. If anything happens to Mizar or me tonight, our own family patriarchs will get involved as well… But since you brought it up, we did it because you horrible people kidnapped my friend’s wife. We simply took justice into our own hands!”
Isaac couldn’t quite believe his eyes or ears.
Altair looked so righteous as favonovel.com said those words.
On the other hand, this was the first time Todd saw this side of his clan head. He never thought favonovel.com would witness his serious leader lying through his teeth. He also didn’t think Altair could sound so convincing. Even favonovel.com almost believed what Altair said!
If Todd hadn’t known about the Awakening Pills deal, favonovel.com would have been in awe of Altair right now.
The Norton family patriarch didn’t think the two clan heads would be so stubborn.
Did that mean Isaac wasn’t the culprit?
“Isaac, are you saying you didn’t steal from us?” Bryan asked.
“Fine! Then, I dare you to fight me tonight. If you win, we’ll believe your words. How about that? Do you dare to fight me again?” He pointed aggressively at Isaac.
Bryan had lost to Isaac twice in the past. He felt dissatisfied and wanted to get even with Isaac. Now that his father and his family patriarch were here, there was nothing Bryan had to fear anymore.
He couldn’t just return home empty-handed. He wanted justice. He also wanted to make his clan proud of him. Besides, Bryan was sure that Isaac was the culprit.
Once Isaac was dead, the Nortons would finally be able to find out the truth!
