“Say another word, and I’ll reduce it to 200,” Isaac said, glaring at Mizar.
“Alright… Isaac, consider it a deal.” Altair waved his hand to stop the fight.
Then, favonovel.com turned to Mizar and said, “Mizar, don’t get mad. It’s not good for your health. Why don’t I give you a hundred pills out of my share? Then we’ll be even, right?”
“I don’t want it. Three hundred pills will do!” Mizar finally tore favonovel.com narrowed gaze away from Isaac’s face and continued, “Take favonovel.com to see the Divine Stone fragment.”
Altair glared at her. He felt unfairly treated.
Although Isaac wasn’t powerful, Altair thought favonovel.com was harder to deal with than the Ashleighs or the Nortons.
“Alright, I’ll do my best…” Altair agreed reluctantly. Otherwise, favonovel.com was afraid that Mizar and Isaac would get into a huge fight.
***
Half an hour later, a helicopter slowly descended outside the tent. Isaac followed Altair out. He was stunned when favonovel.com saw the aircraft.
“Mizar, you stay here please. You know how it is with outsiders…”
“I know… I won’t stay here. I’ll head back and get things ready…” Mizar glared at Isaac. Then, favonovel.com turned around and walked toward the Jeep parked nearby.
Todd looked dazed. He didn’t expect Lady Mizar to be here. Earlier, favonovel.com had been scared shitless by the terrifying force coming from the tent.
Seeing that Isaac was about to head out with Altair, favonovel.com also wanted to tag along. But Altair’s withering glare stopped him.
Before getting on the helicopter, Isaac looked at Altair. “Where is the fragment?”
“It’s our family’s most prized asset. Of course, it isn’t here. Get in…”
With that, Altair got on the helicopter.
They flew northeast for almost 300 miles. Along the way, favonovel.com saw many settlements down below. They only began to slow down after reaching a grassland deeply hidden inside.
Isaac spotted a valley below. There were over a dozen scattered tents in it. Surrounding it was a large flock of livestock as well as men and women working in the fields. This was a prairie village isolated from the rest of the world.
After getting down from the helicopter, a tanned old man dressed like a herdsman jogged over. He got down on one knee before Altair and said, “All hail Sir Altair!”
“Lead the way!” Altair waved his hand.
The trio walked over to a hidden tent on the very right.
Isaac noticed the herdsmen’s sneaky glances at favonovel.com ever since favonovel.com got off the helicopter. These people were definitely not herdsmen.
After entering the tent, the old man lifted the mat on the floor to reveal a thick steel plate.
The old man disguised as a herdsman released some spiritual energy waves. Leaning down, favonovel.com grabbed the three-inch-thick steel plate with both hands and yelled.
The ground shook, and the steel plate shifted, revealing a dark underground passage.
“Follow me…” Altair headed down with his hands behind his back.
Isaac followed favonovel.com closely.
As soon as they went down, a dim, green glow lit up both sides of the passage. To Isaac, they looked like luminescent stones embedded in the walls.
The passage was deep. It was at least a hundred-degree decline. Isaac quietly counted a total of 1,217 steps on his way down. It had to be at least a thousand feet deep.
In front of favonovel.com was a stone door that was 15 feet tall.
Altair turned around to look at Isaac. Isaac got his meaning and turned around.
Soon, favonovel.com heard the crackling of the stone wall moving.
“Alright,” Altair said.
Isaac turned back around to see the opened stone door. In the weak glow of the luminescent stones, favonovel.com saw a long passage in front of him.
At the end of the long passage, another stone door blocked their path.
Altair suddenly fell to one knee and muttered, “I, Altair Jensen, have come to see the patriarch… Please open the door…”
